“Laurie Ghielmetti has not only taught me piano (in her earlier life), but has been my interior designer for many years! She has worked with me in a number of homes, and has been terrific across the board. She has a very wide knowledge of a range of designs and knows just where to get things, who provides the best guarantees and service, and then she stands by to make sure everyone comes as and when expected and and is satisfactory to me in my home and in use. She's also a wonderful person to spend time with. And, by the way, her long time sidekick Kelley Matusiak is also terrific!”

“We hired Hellen Hsieh, the owner of Design Loft Company, to design our 725 sq ft great room addition. We are so incredibly thrilled with the completed project, it is exactly what we had envisioned. Our existing house was a 1200 sq ft 3 bedroom, 2 bath home. The kitchen and living area was very modest. With two teenagers at home, we needed to expand and wanted more room to entertain. When we started the project we were uncertain if we should knock down walls and remodel the current floor plan and add a small addition or keep the footprint of the existing house exactly the same and add on one large great room. We decided to do the later, however, to get to this point, we went through several different renderings. Hellen provided us with many great options and helped us decide what would be the most economical and feasible plan. She was flexible, patient and was great about pointing out the pros and cons of each option. Her interactions with our architect , contractor and cabinet supplier went very smoothly which helped us to meet specific deadlines. Hellen was maticulous when it came to the kitchen cabinets and made sure everything was ordered properly and our custom stain came out exactly how we wanted. As a designer, she is very creative and knowledgeable. She understood the style and feel we were after. More importantly she was very conscious and respectful of our monetary constraints which helped us complete our entire project within budget. What impressed us most was her understanding of the build process: from the contractors needs, the city requirements, realistic costs and time estimates, appliance installation prerequisites and inspection requirements. We couldn't be more pleased with Design Loft and Hellen's professionalism.”

“Very generous designer who made my tiny rental feel spacious and bright! So grateful for Jenn’s excellent list of recommendations she offered me within 24 hours after seeing my home. She helped me realize that my space doesn’t have to be or feel small by changing a few simple things such as, painting the interior, raising all the curtain rods to make my ceiling feel higher, layer cowhides on the cold tiled floor, moved my paintings around that made more sense to view, helped me find beautiful decorative pillows, dining table and chairs, and the most comfy modern chair and ottoman we all fight over to sit in and most importantly she suggested many choices to choose from to change out all the old dated light fixtures. I learned that investing in great curtains, sconces to lamp shades would be worth the investment since I can take them with me if and when I ever move. My home now feels spacious, fun and festive to visit and a whole lot bigger and brighter because I used every single one of Jenn’s innovative ideas. Loved her smart suggestions and felt she respected my small budget and made it work besides making my cozy place a place all my friends and family love to visit. “We recently finished a remodel of our mid-century kitchen and we couldn't be more thrilled with the results. Tony and Dawn are amazing and their eye for design is impeccable...what I was most impressed with was how detailed they were and that they listened to our needs. We wanted a kitchen that looked great but was also functional, and they delivered! My wife and I both work, so it was important to us to know that they were there to handle all the small details and be on site to work with contractors, handymen, etc. No doubt, remodeling a kitchen is stressful but Tony and Dawn were so accommodating and made the project much easier than it would have been otherwise. The final photo shoot was bittersweet -- everything looked amazing but we were a little sad the project was over since working with Tony and Dawn was such a pleasure. I can't recommend them highly enough. Check out the photos of the Chevron marble back splash in the Yelp photo album toward the end and also on their website.”

“I hired Kirsten Pike Design, upon recommendation by the concierge at The Harrison, to completely design and furnish my 30th story apartment overlooking San Francisco as well as San Francisco Bay. Kirsten was involved with every single, minute detail of the design and execution of her incredible vision for my home. She has a perfect balance between being a collaborator and yet be completely in charge…taking all stress away from the property owner. Earlier than mid project, I gave her carte blanche. She knew what I wanted and I trusted her know how 100%: Impeccable taste and finesse...Brilliant even. What a talent! Early in the project, I moved in. I travel a lot and we arranged for her to do the work when I was gone. Everything is now a cohesive whole so the living spaces, kitchen and bathrooms flow together. Amongst so many things, she designed a stunning wall of decorative plaster and a bar that is as lovely as it is practical. My space is a jewel box where nothing is left to coincide. Also every delivery was overseen and the small practicalities that a homeowner doesn't want to deal with before, during and after a remodel. When I wasn't pleased with my high end flower delivery service, Kirsten did it personally and once again blew my away. I am just sad that when I come home from my travels there isn’t a new “surprise” waiting for me, as the apartment is perfect! I think any discerning person with high expectations will be very happy with Kirsten Pike Design.”

“I loved working with Kelly and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for an interior designer who brings creativity, but designs something that fits YOU. My husband, daughter and I had just moved from NYC to LA, so we hired Kelly to help us design a space that reflected our energy, experiences, personality and the SoCal vibe. I always dreamed of going lighter with color in a living space, but never had the guts. Kelly listened intently to what we had to say and then suggested risky and creative ideas based on our conversation, budget and key pieces of furniture we wanted to keep. As a result, Kelly turned our apartment into our home...that looks more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. People walk in and are stunned at how unique it looks in its vibrancy and style, while still reflecting who we are. Kelly told us in our initial meeting that we would love it, we would not know which room we liked the best, and we would never want to move out. Mission accomplished. We absolutely love it! Also, Kelly is an extremely warm-hearted, kind individual, and she made the process fun and easy (which was such a blessing as we were juggling a cross country move, a 1 year old and new jobs). She responded to emails promptly and effectively, and moved through our project with the pace at which we were comfortable. If we ever move again (which I don't want to now!!!) I will hire Kelly in a heartbeat. :)”
