Inès helped me design the layout of two very tricky rooms in our new apartment. My challenge was to create a comfortable, functional, and beautiful space that respected the original features of a 100+ year old Parisian apartment. Inès brought a deep understanding of the challenges associated with a typical Haussmann era layout (multiple chimney pieces, doors, archways, and rich moldings), a Parisian rental, and presented excellent ideas on how to combine my existing furniture with new pieces to bring out the best in a beautiful space. She created several innovative design options, and patiently guided me through each of them. Inès provided color palette suggestions based on our existing furniture, art, and carpets, and presented me with concrete options for the pieces we needed to add, in order to make the space work - visually and functionally. I particularly appreciated how every suggestion was accompanied by a detailed visualization - I got to see how my furniture looked in her designs before I decided on my favorite! I felt completely supported by Inés, and really appreciated her flexibility around developing her ideas. If a specific suggestion didn't quite work the first time (for me) she unhesitatingly changed it until I had a "wow moment". Inès was wonderful about understanding and respecting our budget and the scope of the project - every suggestion was completely feasible and practical. She also remained completely available throughout, which made me feel well-supported and in great hands. Aside from having impeccable taste and profound expertise, Inès also brought so much patience, kindness, and a radiant personality to our work together. It was a real joy to have regular check-ins!
