From the very beginning, she took so much time to understand how we actually live, what we liked (even when I wasn't entirely sure myself!), and what our budget was. She never tried to push us towards expensive options for the sake of it and was always happy to adapt the designs when something wasn't quite right or was stretching our budget. What impressed me the most was how patient and thorough she was. I asked countless questions throughout the process, and she always took the time to explain everything without ever making me feel silly. “We engaged Hugo to redesign our bedroom / dressing area and to improve our landing area which was a bit dull. We had not used a designer before and always been quite “matchy” in our design choices, white ceilings etc so it took a bit of a leap of faith to go with more bold styles which Hugo presented. We are so glad we did! We are absolutely delighted with the results, our bedroom is the most welcoming room in the house and the landing is a lot more homely and interesting. Hugo was easy to work with and had great ideas and a vast range of designs and products to choose from. It was great not having to find and shop for everything and then the project which involved multiple trades was managed by Hugo and his team end-to-end and so we didn’t have that stress of organising and dealing with trades. Hugo was regularly on-site to monitor work and progress. The work was completed on time and on budget and all the trades were real craftsmen. The project involved plastering, panelling, electrical work, decorating and then at the end Hugo expertly accessorised and dressed the room. We cannot recommend Hugo highly enough and look forward to getting his help with our next project!”

“We used Studio 28’s Designer for a Day service to help us with our living room refurbishment. We had got as far as the wood flooring, wall colour and sofa then realised we didn’t know how to pull all the colours and wood tones together in the way we wanted so asked Studio 28 to help. This is an amazing service and went far beyond my expectations and we are delighted with their suggestions – they are also very friendly and professional. You get a detailed document with a mood board, the layout, different suggested schemes and costings. You can click on links in the document, and they take you to where you can buy the product. They completely got our style and what we wanted to achieve (and within our budget!). We still feel like we have choices but narrowed down to all things that will work in the room. We have had a lovely weekend choosing things from the options presented to us and it has taken all the stress out of the process. It is definitely worth the money as we are convinced it has prevented us from making expensive mistakes – we wanted a beautiful room that we loved but won’t tire of and that is what Studio 28 have given us.
