I am an established artist, with a background in illustration and fine art. Over the years, I have applied my instinct for colour, proportion and form to interior design, transforming interiors for clients with my down-to-earth and eclectic approach to design. I offer Intensive Interior Design Transformation, in the form of making the best of what people have; reworking layout, styling, colour and pattern, and I can source bespoke and suggested products. I am passionate about creating spaces that speak to your soul and I like nothing more than being the catalyst for clients to create a home they love to live in. I’m also practical and I don’t think design needs to be expensive. I am transparent with my costs and you can see the breakdown of I offer. Having moved into a new house, the blank canvas and the many design possibilities for it was overwhelming and I felt paralysed. Ellie came to the rescue and, like a positive force of nature, saw through my rather scattered ideas to come up with a clear vision that exceeded anything I had been imagining. With her artistic approach, her deep knowledge of colour theory and her incredible eye for pattern and form she transformed our house with props and possibilities in such a short space of time. As we continue to pull together our spaces, led by her vision, we constantly return to her advice and plans, and find ourselves regularly asking ‘What would Ellie do here’! She’s a complete joy to work with, full of energy and ideas, but highly adaptive and clearly sees each project as a collaboration. Her ability to bring a concept together and integrate design motifs throughout the whole house transformed how we think of the space. With her encouragement, we have renewed confidence to play around with our house layout, colours and textures, and to see its contents not as static but constantly evolving.

We did a loft conversion (lowering high ceilings to increase the loft's size) and interior redesign, swapping the main bedroom and the kitchen. Eleanor helped greatly with project management, design, planning, choosing and obtaining materials. She enthusiastically offered extensive advice and was always pleasant and easy to work with. Her assistance was invaluable!

We commissioned Ellie to overhaul 3 rooms and 2 bedrooms as a moving in gift for our sister. I really think you're getting something quite unique and special with Ellie, compared to other interior designers we've worked with. She has an incredible eye for detail and proportion, colour and pattern (which I imagine is down to her artistic background) . We found her energy, creativity and well-spring of ideas so inspiring. She is practical too and knows what will and won't work. Most of all, she is friendly and collaborative: you really get the sense that she wants you to love the spaces she creates and for them to really work hard for you and your family.

I loved working with you and your family on this project. I really enjoyed getting stuck into rearranging furniture and accessories for new layouts, and styling with what they had, and with my props. So essential for this process to be collaborative as you said. Their input on what they loved, and how they use the space, allowed the design concept grow and come together. Seeing your family's excited realisation of the final design was very satisfying!! They've got it from here, I can't wait to see it develop further!

From start to finish Ellie has been such a professional. We also appreciate that she wanted to know things we don’t like. She stopped the process of redesigning our home being overwhelming. Helped us to consider things that we wouldn’t normally think about for example: where light switches go, and gave us a chance to really break down what we needed in the house. So a space for gym equipment, utility areas, bike areas. It was really good that she found the value of the houses in the area we lived in and found the difference of them based on what rooms they had so we could guess how much the house would raise in value. She was able to come up with designs and layouts that we could actually take to the builders and lay out what we needed to them. Giving advice about builders, getting quotes, how much we should expect to spend. How to save money. She’s made it look like a home not a house It was nice to have her listen to what our style was and what our inspiration is and took it on board to help us find what we wanted Finding bargains was really good. Waking up to a list of new ideas and options made it really fun to do the whole house!

Ellie is an absolute joy to work with! With a few carefully chosen pieces and accessories sourced from wherever your budget will allow and some clever repositioning of your current furniture, Ellie is able to completely transform the room of your choice into the space of your dreams. I would have never thought of using a dark grey/green for revamping my kitchen cabinets but they work so well with the existing floor and new copper handles! I love the colour so much, it’s going on the walls in the hallway! Ellie has an outstanding knowledge of colour theory and is able to conceptualise an idea and recreate it using creative and innovative techniques that suit whatever ever budget she’s given.
