Rachael has completely transformed my home. She took me on a journey and held my hand throughout, encouraging me to be braver in choices and gave me the confidence to try something new. Rachael produced a beautiful design for each room in my house and assembled a wonderful group of people to make her plans come to life. I now spend time in rooms I used to avoid and have had so much pleasure in showing the house off to family and friends! A very talented designer. Thank you so much, Rachael.

Rachel has been absolutely amazing . She redesigned 3 rooms for me in an old house that needed updating without losing the essence of a period building . Rachel gave me ideas and suggestions that I never would have thought of with fantastic colour combinations and unique and interesting features . Rachel saved me a huge amount of time and stress especially with her knowledge and contacts of tradespeople.

We embarked on what was for us a big project - extending and totally refurbishing our home. This was a daunting and overwhelming task. Working with Rachael was the best decision we could have made. From our first meeting and subsequent discussions she took on board our ideas and plans filtering out all the ‘noise’ and guided us towards design ideas we would never have thought of. She made the decision making process much simpler removing a lot of stress we would otherwise have encountered. She helped with sourcing and worked with our tradesmen to deliver a beautiful end result. I needed help to refurb 3 tired looking bedrooms and after spending endless hours looking through magazines and trawling the internet, without success, I took the plunge to contact Rachael, I say took the plunge because it seemed quite alien to me, to approach an interior designer but I’m so pleased I did. Rachael is very approachable, a pleasure to work with and she listens to what you have in mind. In my case, my mind was all over the place with what I wanted, nonetheless, she was able to make sense of everything and brought my thoughts to life with her inspirational mood boards. She really can bring a room together with her eye for detail/design and colours that you would never have thought to put together. From the Mood Boards which Rachael creates , she lists all items in detail, furniture, paint, wallpaper, carpets , curtains, lighting, everything you need and where to buy, which makes the whole process of purchasing the items enjoyable. My husband and I can now look forward to renovating each room with confidence and I can’t wait. Rachael also helped us with ideas for renovating our bathroom. Rachael was incredible from start to finish. She supported us from initial design through to project management and completion of a full renovation of a three bed terrace. She was clear, supportive and was able to bring together all our ideas into one cohesive concept. We now have an incredibly high spec, contemporary and unique house that was achieved within our moderate budget. We absolutely could not have done this without her and would highly recommend using Feather and Paint!

We renovated our house which was built around 90 years ago maintaining some of the existing character and adding a modern extension, this took around 18 months to complete, now we have a a house which is of a contemporary style, minimal in form and maintaining the homely space which we love. Rachael was an integral part of the process, we could not have achieved the amazing results without her guidance, advice and overall help. We initially talked about design/colours/lighting/layout/furniture/fabrics and Rachael produced the initial design concepts for each room, which enabled us to have an overall view of the style we wanted to create. Regular meetings to decide on all the above were always kept and her involvement with all the other tradesmen/architect proved to be vital in order to keep the project on time. Since we completed this renovation we have continued to work with Rachael on two other smaller projects to which she provided the same level of expertise. We would strongly recommend her services in all aspects of design no matter how small or large.

I had a consultation with Feather & Paint after moving into a Victorian terrace in need of an interior upgrade but not knowing where to start. Rachael completely understood my taste and offered a new colour scheme that was sympathetic to the property while also being soft enough to work with existing furniture I wanted to keep. She's so easy to work with - flexible but passionate - and I was really happy with the end result.

Rachel helped me with design for the downstairs of my Edwardian property. The rooms didn’t have any character and I was struggling with the colour scheme. We had a meeting with Rachel and she came up with design boards based upon our initial chat and thoughts on the space. She attended several times after to check the project was on track and ensure the work done by our joiner/decorator was what she had in mind. I couldn’t thank her enough, without her I wouldn’t have had the vision as to what the rooms could look like. I will be getting in touch with Rachel again when we look to refurbish upstairs of the property.

Could not be more thrilled with the outcome of my home! I would never have been able to achieve my aesthetic without Rach’s expertise, keen eye and ideas! Rachael is totally amazing and if you can book her into help you with your interior design project (she’s pretty busy!), then do it - she is brilliant in every way. Rachael is not only creative and knowledgable, but from day one, Rachael was just very easy to talk to and she listens to what you actually want, modifying plans along the way to keep everyone in the family happy! We could never have updated our kitchen and much of our downstairs without Rachael - and certainly not within a tight timescale of 3 months. She knows lots of brilliant trades people and has discounts available for places like tile stores that she shares with her clients, so actually, using Feather and Paint is a no - brainier - it can ultimately save the client cash. The other thing I noticed about Rachael is she’s really patient and kind - it can be hard work renovating - especially so in lockdown - but she is always there with a guiding hand to navigate you through it. I had never tried a designer before and I initially employed Feather and Paint to re-design my bedroom because I was having a lot of trouble deciding how to tackle a difficult job. Rachel is friendly, helpful, professional and above all skilful when it comes to design, colour and vision. I literally did not know where to start. Rachel helped me to be adventurous and try different colours and to have my outdated pine wardrobes re-modelled and spray painted. The bedroom looked absolutely fabulous when it was finished and every single tiny detail was covered. I was so pleased with the finished design I employed her to work on a second bedroom and again I am delighted with the way she approached it. Rachel puts forward her own ideas and also considers and supports the client’s vision. She also sources items for the client and offers alternative choices. With another successful room designed by Feather and Paint I then asked the company to design my living room and I am so happy with all of the changes. My husband is also delighted with the results and we will be employing Feather and Paint in the future. I highly recommend Rachel, especially if you are stuck and don’t know what to do and want a no-pressure, talented designer to transform your home.
