IDC Interior Design

Marie-Louise took on the challenging task of redesigning our outdated kitchen and dining area with a design brief that these rooms needed to be contemporary, functional and within the constraints of a specific budget. These rooms were to be the main hub of the home where we would live as a family as well as entertaining guests so they needed to be versatile and attractive. She tirelessly worked from our vague ideas to develop the vision we had. We were provided with detailed mood boards that she willingly amended until we had found the design that we were happy with. Marie-Louise communicated particularly well with us in terms of listening to our ideas and transforming them into a beautiful reality. Marie-Louise has an incredible flair for choosing beautiful colours that blend so well together. In fact, she encouraged us to take risks with our colour choices and as a result we now have walls that so many friends have admired and many have even copied! We seem to have set a new trend. Her project management included overseeing the various craftsmen ensuring that their work was of a high standard and within budget. She introduced key focal pieces to each room that showed imagination and creativity and made each room unique and very special. Marie-Louise provided excellent value for money as she has created a home that we can't wait to come back to every evening.

IDC Interior Design was exactly what we needed for our kitchen-diner project. We were knocking several rooms into one and couldn't decide on which style would suit our house, amongst a hundred other things!! Marie-Louise went through ideas with us before visiting us and giving us the nudge we needed. IDC were on board right from the time of architect design and went above and beyond the scope of just an interior decorator. IDC worked well with architect, builders and foreman to ensure that everything was correct and was always at the end of the phone when needed. The spec was for disabled design and IDC researched and considered so many factors that I hadn't making sure that I had a beautiful home and not a hospital suite at the end. IDC always kept me informed of costs and kept within the budget. Marie-Louise has a superb eye to just pick out the little things that make a huge difference to a room, for example a striped woollen throw was added to a cashmere grey chair which just tied everything together and finished off the room.
