Lally is a super fabulous interior designer. Equally (maybe more) important in our crazy world she is a lovely and trustworthy person. Lally was recommended by a family friend as she had helped their daughter interior design her Edinburgh home. Lally helped us interior design a refurbished main and basement property in Edinburgh's New Town close to Queens Gardens. Lally helped us bring the home to full/vibrant life with wonderful colours, creative ideas and imagination, incorporating parts of our family history, new furniture & furnishings as well as mixing it in with some of our own pieces of art and furniture. Moreover, Lally has been incredibly helpful in introducing us to a fantastic and trustworthy local contractor, as well as other great people in the interior design world and beyond (eg. James Morrow for internet and TV installations). Lally is also very flexible and at times worked as more of a project manager to help out including liaising with our contractor, the electricians, plumbers and any other suppliers/traders need! So in summary, very happy clients and we would highly recommend Lally for any of your Edinburgh property interior design projects!

Lally is incredibly talented. Having moved into a house that was very different to our style, she gently transformed it into a warm, homely and eye catching space that is now feeling like home. She is so intuitive with what we needed gently pushing us out of our comfort zone and into bright, modern fun colours and designs. We have loved working with Lally and would highly recommend her services.

Lally did a phenomenal job in helping us update a tired looking flat and making it into a dream. She is very easy to work with and maintained excellent communication with us while we lived across an ocean. I like that she gave us only a few, tasteful options to choose from and we proceeded from there. She did an excellent job of staying within budget and the flat was completed on time. Lally and her team recently helped complete a full refurbishment to my ground and garden period property in Edinburgh’s West End. With 3 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, an office and a new kitchen it was no small feat. I live abroad the majority of the year, so I was only on site a few times during the 12 month renovation. Lally worked directly with our contractor to liaise on everything from the electrical layouts, to the designs of large bespoke joinery throughout the home. Lally also collaborated with both kitchen and bathroom companies on all details and finishes. I brought over several furniture pieces from abroad which Lally beautifully integrated into the design. Lally was involved and willing to help at every turn of the process. Lally not only provided great designs, but was a pleasure to work with. Lally and her team were always quick to respond and present on site with the trades. She was an integral part of the project, and her help was invaluable at bringing the design of our home together. Lally understood our style and incorporated it with her sophisticated design which resulted in our beautiful and welcoming Edinburgh home. We could not be happier.

We could not recommend Lally highly enough. Her eye for space, colour and overall look is incredible and she has so many ideas. We only wish that we had a larger project for Lally to help us with - e.g. our entire house! Lally was adept at teasing out our requirements up-front and made sure we followed through on them, providing reassurance along the way. Her organisational and communication skills are excellent and, importantly, she is great fun to work with. Lally’s black book of suppliers and stockists is extensive and we’ve benefitted greatly from her introductions to very talented and high quality tradespeople and makers. Needless to say, we are delighted with the finished results.

We recently moved to Edinburgh having bought and refurbished our property while living abroad. We got in touch with Lally and her team to help us as we were having difficulty with some of our rooms. Lally and her team were the perfect match and we would not hesitate to recommend them to others. They have impeccable taste and really took time to understand our preferences and personal style. They simplified what could have been complicated decisions and struck the perfect balance between incorporating as much of our furniture as possible whilst being honest when something simply was not going to work. We could not be happier with our final result.

It was a pleasure working with Lally. The project was a complete restoration and redecoration of a four storey house which was part of an historical, A-listed building. Not only did Lally understand the overall interior effect I sought to achieve, she knew all the best sources and resources to make it all happen -- right through pandemic lockdowns, supply chain issues, staff shortages, etc., all of which led to numerous delays and complications. Through it all, Lally remained calm and focussed, full of fresh ideas and creative solutions. My home is now a comfortable and welcoming sanctuary, thanks in great part to Lally's efforts.

We bought a fabulous Edinburgh Newtown flat unseen during lockdown and immediately realised we would need help to realise its potential not least as we live 400 miles away and were still in lockdown. I found Lally on social media and after speaking to her we arranged to see the flat together. Lally is highly organised and efficient. She produced a scope of work and immediately understood what we were looking for. She liased with our builders ( even buying them cakes on one occasion) and architect. Her sense of colour is wonderful and she suggested a scheme which was exciting and works with the amazing light that we have. She found furniture and soft furnishings without breaking the bank and was mindful at all times of our budget. We now have a wonderful, comfortable and elegant flat which is’ me’ but so much better. I couldn’t have done it without her and would unhesitatingly do it all again!

We have just used Lally and her team to completely revamp our sitting room. We live in a Georgian house with lovely proportioned rooms and interesting details. This was a room which we didn’t really love! It needed some TLC. We sit in it every evening to watch television and the children play snooker in there. When we asked Lally if she could help us, she set up the first meeting to discuss what we were looking for. We said we wanted 'fun', 'colour' and 'Kit Kemp' style! Lally had two things to work with; a much loved painting and a snooker table - which had to stay! It made her life harder I think having to work the room layout around the snooker table however she has done a truly wonderful job and we are so delighted. I was bored of a rather ‘beige’ house and we wanted to add colour to this room. It is north facing also so quite a dark room. Lally suggested a dark colour on the walls. I knew it was going to look good and this is what I had envisaged even before she suggested it however I needed my hand holding for this! It didn’t come naturally to me to paint the walls a very dark grey colour. However they are superb! She has added so much colour and I probably needed a little bit of persuasion to add so much colour but it works and we are so pleased with the end result. Lally organised curtains, rugs, sofas, lighting, cushions and carpet. We did use one old sofa which she recovered and had an old large footstool recovered also. They added buttons to the footstool and some really beautiful braid around the edge so it actually looks like a brand new footstool. All her tradespeople were lovely to work with; respectful and lovely people! It was all seamless from our point of view which again was lovely. We are so happy and love using this room now. Thanks Lally for a wonderful job. We would highly recommend Lally and her team to do any interior project.

Having entered into this refurbishment project with no little apprehension, I’m delighted to say that I "struck gold" with Lally and her team. She brought a "good eye" and much energy to the project. I was not able to visit the property at any time during the process but notwithstanding, Lally provided regular updates of progress and was extremely responsive to all queries. All projects have snags but Lally was able to suggest practical solutions and workarounds where applicable. Really a superb project manager and interior designer.

Lally helped us design a new living space off our kitchen as part of a remodelling of our whole ground floor. The colours and fabrics suggested by Lally have helped create an absolute haven for our family. The room has such a cosy , inviting feel and has been a joy throughout lockdown. Lally listened to the brief and was very patient throughout. Would thoroughly recommend her !

I first saw Lally’s work on Houzz website and immediately liked her style. At the time we were in the middle of renovating a Georgian property, and struggling to agree on how to move forward with the interiors as we both had very different ideas. Lally fortunately came to meet us, listened very carefully to both of our points of view and having spent time studying the property went away and put a proposal together with regards to colours, flooring, room layout, window treatments, textiles and some pieces of furniture that would work with our own. We were delighted with her suggestions which brought an immediate direction and harmony to our project. It was a joy to collaborate with Lally, she was always willing to listen and offer alternative options, met deadlines and budget requirements. Her organisation throughout was seamless and her standards exacting. It is thanks to her that we now have a beautiful and comfortable home that we both love.

Lally has provided us with a wide range of interior design advice ranging from designing an entire room (drawing room, bedroom) to lighting optimisation, choosing of colours for walls, wall papers, fabric for curtain and furniture. Lally also made a lot of curtains for us, of the most fantastic quality. Lally understands immediately your needs and your budget and adapts her advice accordingly. She has extremely good taste and has a huge and updated knowledge of what is out there! Very professional and precise, she has an amazing attention to details and her quotes are always detailed and transparent. A perfect experience all around!

I was fortunate to meet Lally after rebuilding an old farmhouse. Lally was excellent with sourcing , fitting and installing curtains and blinds plus tracks / rails for the whole house. All curtains and blinds fitted perfectly , beautifully made and hand finished , all done with great attention to detail . Lally has broad wealth of knowledge covering interiors and structure . I look forward to continuing work on house with Lally next year . I got in touch with Lally after to moving to Edinburgh from London, wanting desperately to make our new house feel like home but not really knowing where to start. She helped me with curtains, blinds, paint colours and various bits of furniture - principally for the sitting room but also elsewhere in the house. She was incredibly professional and efficient but also very warm and personable. She has a passion for interiors, lovely taste and great ideas but also listened carefully to what I wanted and seemed to have an extraordinary knack of understanding exactly what I like which resulted in a very personal and lovely scheme. She was also incredibly kind and flexible when I had a change of mind at one point. I would highly recommend her.

Having recently bought a house in the country in East Lothian there was a considerable amount of key infrastructure work that we needed to do to the house. We live abroad and therefore needed to find someone who could recommend an architect and a team of builders/tradesmen as well as project manage the work from start to finish while keeping us informed of progress and ensuring key decision points were not passed without our involvement. We were recommended Lally and she accepted the challenge and did an superb job. The project took 4 months from start to finish. Lally selected the architect and worked with him to establish the art of the possible in creating a new stairwell extension to connect the house up and make it more family friendly. She provided us with numerous iterations of hand drawn room plans/concepts for the three new rooms we created, until we settled on a final design. Lally selected, tasked and oversaw delivery of an excellent building firm who had a team of high quality tradesmen. The property had no pre-existing central heating system so we installed from scratch 26 radiators, and a new unvented boiler system to be able to run the heating and hot water for 4 bathrooms/showers and the radiators concurrently. A staircase was extended and a new door in the master bedroom was created to meet the new staircase and connect the master bedroom with two other new bedrooms and bathroom (a large upstairs sitting room was turned into two spacious bedrooms and a bathroom). A utility room was refitted. New ceiling lights were installed in 9 rooms and 90% of the interior of the house was redecorated. There were many consultations with Lally over the life of the project - all conducted by voice given our significant distance from the project and inability to visit the site. Lally's advice and opinions helped us enormously to shape our own ideas of the art of the possible given the time and budget constraints. Our brief (and budget) evolved but we were able to make considered and deliberate decisions in confidence thanks to Lally's and experience. She managed a very large number of spinning plates in terms of project concept and delivery while also keeping us up to date and managing our expectations. I know she had other projects on at the same time but we always felt we were the top of her priority list. It's patently evident Lally knows her stuff and is a true professional in interior design and she's also highly competent in managing delivery of that design. Ultimately, this project required us to put a huge amount of trust in Lally to oversee what was a large project in our future family home. Our trust was well placed. In future years we will have additional work to do and we won't hesitate to ask for Lally's support again.

It has been a pleasure working with Lally, from beginning to end we were on the same page. Professional and efficient and with a wealth of great suggestions and ideas, I had complete faith in her ability throughout the project. Having purchased a period property in Edinburgh, Lally was commissioned by us to update the property. As can be imagined with a listed property this was a challenging project. We felt that it was particularly necessary to add another bathroom. This involved listed building consent being granted as it was necessary to run new pipe work to the rear of the building. Lally dealt with everything from planning layouts, submitting the application for listed building consent, drawing up electrical rewiring plans and liaising with her team of tradesmen. Once work began, Lally was very hands on overseeing everything and also with keeping the momentum going for each stage of the project. She has wonderful taste and helped us choose paint colours, fabrics for curtains and sofas and took particular care that tonally everything worked throughout the property. She also helped to choose carpets, bathroom fittings and a whole new kitchen. Whenever there was an unexpected complication, as there often is with building projects, Lally dealt with it calmly and very professionally. We would thoroughly recommend employing Lally and would definitely commission her to work on another project for us in the future.

Lally has helped us turn our rather neglected Edinburgh town house into our dream home. We are absolutely thrilled with the results of her hard work. I came to Lally close to clueless about what was needed to create the home that we wanted and she has been invaluable in guiding us through all aspects of the process from sourcing stunning fabrics to introducing us to recommended suppliers. What might have been a very stressful process has instead been an absolute joy - I have had such fun working with Lally. In particular, I love the fact that she has created a home which perfectly reflects my style (and not necessarily her own). She understood my brief and was receptive to my ideas but also perfectly willing to tell me firmly when one of them wasn’t a goer - which I found very reassuring. I am something of a perfectionist and I was so grateful to have the benefit of Lally’s experience and attention to detail on this project - especially during the installation phase when I could not be on-site regularly. Finally, from start to finish Lally has been extremely quick to respond to my (many, many) emails which has been extremely helpful. She is clearly not only very organised and efficient but also extremely hard-working and diligent. Lally has been absolutely fantastic in helping us with our garden room development and re-vamping of our kitchen. I primarily requested her help to assist with colours but found her advice invaluable as I hadn’t realised how important it is to get the layout of furniture and consequently sockets etc planned before the builders started. As a result we are totally thrilled with the result and have saved ourselves many a sleepless night in the process! She has been thoroughly professional throughout, totally “got” what we were after, and even managed to keep within our budget! We recently worked in partnership will Lally for a client in Edinburgh. Lally was commissioned to assist the clients with the interior of an Edinburgh holiday home, part of this included the kitchen, which Lally approached us for. In co-ordination with Lally we designed, manufactured and installed a bespoke kitchen. We mainly worked with Lally on the project, leaving Lally to communicate with the client, she was extremely helpful throughout and a real pleasure to work with.

I contacted Lally when my mum was having trouble deciding on a new look for her living room! From the start Lally was keen to get a feel for the style my mum liked and did not rush any decisions. I contacted Lally to help me with the decoration of my newly purchased flat in Edinburgh New Town and it was a great success. The flat has great proportions, but had been a student flat and needed some structural attention. When I met Lally to discuss the project I showed her pictures of the sort of style I envisaged and from this brief we worked together to achieve my aim, very successfully.
