My partner and I purchased a two bedroom flat earlier this year in South Woodford, North East London – the property was built in the 1930s and was in dire need of a complete renovation to make it liveable for our needs. We wanted to completely gut the property, strip everything out, re-plaster the walls and ceilings, replace the flooring, put in a new kitchen and bathroom and decorate the property to suit our personal tastes. Time was critical in this project as I became pregnant at the time of purchase, meaning that we needed everything to be done well before the baby was due. We were also working to a tight budget given this change in our circumstances. We got in touch with LPI on a personal recommendation – as first time homeowners we wanted our new home to really reflect our personalities and tastes, but had no idea where to start. Laura was able to guide us through the process of crystallising our ideas and needs, removing the complexity for us through smart, focused questioning. The result was truly astounding and we were both amazed at how she had taken our input and turned it into a practical design that truly reflected ‘us’. I was impressed at how closely she had listened to us and thoughtfully drawn out key themes to translate them into an inspiring yet practical vision. LPI sourced virtually all the materials for our new home based on the agreed brief. Laura’s flexible, ‘can do’ attitude and tireless work ethic were clear and I am grateful to her for taking on the stresses and strains of this project at a time when, due to my pregnancy, I was unable to contribute to the process in the way I might have normally. Budget was against us in this project and Laura took this in her stride, going back out to trade where necessary to source alternatives – she is solutions focused and pragmatic in her approach whilst also staying true to her design vision. Laura is fantastic to work with and I thoroughly recommend the services of LPI. She is a talented designer with a natural flair for intuiting her clients’ needs and personal styles. In addition, she is a consummate professional, able to manage multiple deadlines and the various complexities involved in a design and build project in order to take that stress away from her clients, something which we valued immensely. We are absolutely thrilled with the result and love our new home – it really is a dream true for us; it is everything we had hoped for and more.

Laura is one of the most intuitive and precise people I have ever worked with! No detail is too small for her, and she treats every single project with as much care as it was her own. She also has a fantastic ability to relate to people and feel compassion, meaning her designs are not only beautiful but personal to each client. I struggle to think of any flaws at all. Quite simply; if someone asked me to recommend a designer to them, I wouldn't even need to think - it's Laura every time.

Laura worked on the remodeling of our 5-bedroom home in a Conservation Area of Chester. Assisting with room layouts, colour schemes, furnishings, and the incorporation of some family antiques, she created a luxury, contemporary home. Working with Laura was an enjoyable and thought-provoking experience. Her broad knowledge expanded our outlook. Keeping to deadlines and budgets, Laura planned the project thoughtfully and was thorough in her research. Laura has outstanding interpersonal skills and a warm personality. She communicates well at all levels and was sensitive to our needs in order to develop a true partnership. We were very pleased with the end result, and Laura will be a “friend for life” to us.
