“Recently moved into a new house, we were struggling to define our style and fit our existing furniture into this new space. The house, newly built, lacked the character we had always had in previous homes. I was overwhelmed by magnolia. So, deciding to ask for help from an expert was probably the best decision I made. She created shopping lists with live links so that I could quickly purchase the furniture and extra touches I wouldn’t have thought of to style the rooms. This saved me endless trawling- and as the measurements had been taken - the purchased furniture actually fit!! Debs has saved us so much time and trouble. “We used Christine as a Consultant for two of our developments - Harewood Villas in Harewood, Leeds and Biba House, York . Christine reviewed plans and layouts to see if they could be improved or maximised and worked with the M&E designer to ensure that the lighting scheme and specifications were suitable and appropriate. She then wrote up the specifications to ensure that all of the “touchy feely” visual things worked such as the colour scheme, the finishes, the kitchen design and specification and the bathrooms. She also ensured that all costs were within the budget and she attended all the site meetings and became a point of contact for the Site Manager and other associated professionals. Christine was also involved in the marketing of Biba House and she brought added value by increasing the specification to include such things as programmable lighting, steam ovens, TV’s in the bathrooms, sensor lighting for night time in bathrooms etc and whilst there was an extra cost to this, we saw a really big increase in the GDV over what was initially forecast. Harewood Villa’s were another example of where the specification was too low to achieve the sales prices we wanted to achieve so she revised the specifications and the layouts resulting in them all selling for top dollar which is very impressive taking into consideration we were just coming out of recession. We have also used Christine’s services for fitting out our show house at Black Swan Yard in Helmsley and two show apartments at Cocoa Suites in York which we were delighted with. We gave her our budgets and left the choices to her and as usual, Christine kept to the budget and did a marvellous job. We will always use Christine for our developments because we know we can rely on her to provide excellent, efficient, very friendly service and she is a pleasure to work with.”
