Lydia’s creative enthusiastic and profession approach has delivered a great design for our lounge makeover. Following our initial meeting moodboards and potential designs were debated and iterated. Nothing is too much trouble and yes we did keep changing our minds! New ideas emerged and having settled on the final design solution which included features we would never have though of, we’ve embarked on getting the trades in to implement it. We would highly recommend Lydia for great value super creative interior design.

We had never hired an interior designer before but will certainly be using Lydia again for future rooms. Lydia gave us creative ideas whilst also taking onboard our ideas & thoughts. Once happy with the room design, Lydia sent over a detailed shopping list for the room, all of which took our budget into account & we are literally replicating everything Lydia designed for us. We can’t recommend Lydia’s services enough!

I recently decided that redecoration of my main bedroom and my lounge/diner had become well overdue. I felt that, rather than struggle to come up with my own designs, I decided to approach Lydia and see what she could come up with. Wow, I would never have come up with such ideas as she did, they were all incredible. She started off by coming up with several design options and, with a few tweaks, her final designs were presented in a very useful three-dimensional form. Amazing service from a very talented lady.

Great support, listened to what we were after, but gave us lots to think about while developing our design, so we ended up with something we would never have come up with, or even considered by ourselves, but we absolutely love. Also found us some great trades people and local suppliers with a high quality, but competitively priced products.

We have successfully renovated our three story cottage but when we reached the top floor we found that all of our creative inspiration had disappeared! We decided to enlist the help of a professional and this is where Lydia came in. From the initial consultation where Lydia visited us at home we knew that we wanted to work with her, she captured our style immediately and it was so reassuring to know that she totally understood the look we wanted to achieve. Lydia gave us some brilliant ideas and we were so excited to get started. The concepts for the room that Lydia provided us were all beautiful and the only difficulty was deciding which concept to go with! It was great having Lydia on hand for recommendations on suppliers and brands, it’s been like having a knowledgeable friend at the end of the phone. We loved that Lydia focused not only on new items for the rooms but also making the existing pieces of furniture in the room work better, things that we thought would need to be replaced have been up cycled following Lydia’s advice and they’ve been transformed. We were initially nervous about working with an interior designer as we thought we may need to increase our budget considerably for the rooms but Lydia worked the concepts perfectly around our budget and has helped us to create two rooms that we are so proud of. We wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Lydia and will definitely work with her again in the future. Thank you! x

It is no exaggeration to say that Lydia Clarke-Betts has helped to transform the Charles Booth Centre, almost beyond recognition. A beautiful old building with plenty of character that has with over 50 years of neglect slipped to a shadow of its former glory. Lydia’s eye for colour, attention to detail and understanding of bringing period features to a modern time has given us the wow effect! Not only that, but she is sympathetic to our charitable status, limited funds and multi-use requirements and has bought on a budget, volunteered a huge amount of her own time and taken on a vast project with a cheerful, professional and dedicated attitude and we are incredibly fortunate to have worked with her.
