Having become somewhat unstuck attempting to design my living room interior myself, a friend recommended Malcolm Duffin Design. Having used interior designers a few times in the past I was sceptical. However, Malcolm and his team delivered from the outset: from their ideas on room layout, wallpaper and fabrics, not to mention their project management skills in arranging the necessary tradespeople, all of whom were of the highest quality and just as importantly, lovely people to have around the house. We now have a stunning living room to relax in, achieved on time and on budget, with the minimum amount of stress for us as a busy family. Highly recommend.

I moved to a lovely country house less than an hour’s commute from London two years ago with my family and spent a great deal of time searching for options and inspiration for restoration and redecoration as we'd lived in a totally different type of property before. I contacted several local interior design firms and professionals for advice and guidance but felt many were concentrating on a sale rather than inspiring me, which I found rather disconcerting. I was made aware of Malcolm Duffin Design through a mutual friend, and bought into his vision of "the house as a home" and loved his enthusiasm for my own house, which was infectious. He convinced me to slow down, take stock and over time get exactly and precisely what is right for me and my family. We have redone a bathroom and cloakroom to date & we are thrilled with the results, and we are now about to use his ideas for our next project - the garden room. I've learned that an experienced and understanding designer can be someone you can work with for years, a little at a time within your budget and leaving you with a feeling that you have not handed your home over entirely to someone else’s vision. It seemed impractical at first to use a designer who is based at the other end of the country but it's worked very well as he is down in London so often. Highly recommended.

The team at Malcolm Duffin Design help me complete a fairly complexed extension on a Grade B listed traditional 250 year old scottish cottage. I worked very closely with Jenna McLaughlin who held my hand through the complexities of the Listed Building rules, regulations and planning. Her brief was to maximise the space available using modern technology whilst maintaining the traditional feel of such a historic building. Her ideas and creativity has turned the space into something beyond what I initially imagined, and, 2 years on, I am loving the space which has been created.

Malcolm Duffin Design were engaged to redesign our upper floor living space including bathroom, hallway, guest bedroom and main living room. They did a fine job, overcoming internal structural issues to create a fabulous space and layout.
