A gem of a gallery style store to just simply 'be' in , is a treat ! No matter what your style may be I'd fail to believe you won't see something to make your heart sing amongst the simply but thoughtfully displayed pieces. Help is readily available in anon invasive way by folk who are passionate & approachable in an authentic manner.

Maven is a family owned business off the Lisburn Road in Belfast; Patricia and Catherine between them have created a wonderful oasis of calm, beauty and inspiration, exhibiting the best of Irish and European craftmanship. Their shop is always welcoming, smells beautiful (lots of great candles) and whether you want to buy or not, they and the rest of their team are always gracious and glad to see you. It is true to say that their merchandise is not cheap, but for sheer quality and uniqueness, it's hard to find a better store. I like to buy locally, and Maven is a great advocate of the 'buy local' slogan and works tirelessly for other similar outlets on the Lisburn Road and it's surrounding areas; however, if the service I receive is impersonal, over-bearing or simply non-existent, I will not shop in that store again. Maven is the complete opposite of this - the service is excellent, customers can learn from the insight and experience of the two sisters, and quality is certainly guaranteed. But the thing I love most about Maven is that I feel comfortable there, I can pop in (with my dog!!) for a chat or to say hello, whatever the weather or the season, and the encounter brightens my day! :)

Purchased items for my home
Maven is over 100km from where I live but that has made no difference to my shopping experience with them. In fact I would say it has enhanced it as when I call, as I did many times for their advice on what chairs would suit my dining table, what light would suit my side table etc both Catherine and Patricia, the owners went out of their way to help me choose the right option which I am subsequently delighted with. To visit the shop itself is a delight and impossible to leave without purchasing something. The staff all have a warm professional manner and I look forward to returning soon.
