I sought Nicola’s help to re-design my living room. I loved the traditional shapes of my sofas and chairs but they were very tired and dated and needed a major face lift. I knew I wanted to create a lighter and brighter space – someplace that would make you happy just to sit in – but I had no idea where to start. Nicola listened to what I wanted, took in mind my budget and desire to re-purpose some of my existing furniture, and guided me through each step of the journey, keeping in mind every detail. The process was fun and dynamic. Nicola brought me colour and fabric ideas that I would not have thought to consider and the result is amazing. The room feels modern yet traditional and is bright and exciting. Now I just want to sit in my living room and read a book.

I have worked with Nicola for a number of years and have nothing but high praise for the way she has managed projects for me. Most recently Nicola helped me to source linen sheers for windows in my bath, together with a contrasting drape on the larger windows. Colours were challenging as they needed to work with dark shower wall tiles yet bring in light. Nicola tried many possibilities from roller blinds on and we settled finally on wonderful grey-green tones for roman blinds. Her help with sourcing just the right materials was only the start, as one of her key skills is superb project management. She organised delivery of the fabric to the blind fabricator, monitored progress on the production, arranged the site visit for installation and followed up with inspection of the final project. I should also say that I appreciate how Nicola listens to what the client wants to achieve and figures out how this can best be done. No canned stylistic approach or “look.” A real pro.

Nicola designed our master bedroom, which hadn’t been touched for a decade. From the very first meeting Nicola’s creativity, enthusiasm, professional knowledge and ability to interpret our brief; whilst opening our eyes to new possibilities; was clear to see. The end result is just perfect for us and most definitely not something we could have achieved on our own. Aside from all this, Nicola is lovely to work with, balancing an ability to get the job done with allowing enough time to agree choices and making the whole process a lot of fun. After working with Nicola on the design of my kitchen in 2020 I couldn't wait to work with her again this year (2022). This time she helped me transform my dingy hallway and drab downstairs cloakroom into beautiful and stylish rooms. The hallway is an elegant grey/purple/yellow scheme which really sets off an artwork that I already owned, and suits the 1930's architecture of the space. Then we went to town on the cloakroom! I couldn't believe how creative Nicola could be with such a small room. It has dark blue wood panelling, dramatic geometric wavy floor tiles and William Morris Wandle wallpaper. Plus gorgeous taps and fittings. It's fabulous! One of Nicola's many skills is that she really tunes into her client's needs and tastes, and knows when to ramp it up and when to be subtle. Next stop is the lounge - can't wait!

We had worked with Nicola since we first exchanged the contracts for our new house. Upon the first meeting, we knew we could trust her to take care of everything. She enquired in great detail on what we liked, and what we didn't, and was thorough in her searches to find the perfect furnishings to match our style. We particularly enjoyed the joinery she designed and the way it tied the whole room together. She was highly personable yet professional - from the multiple visits she undertook, to the aftercare where she communicated effectively where snagging was required. She always kept us updated and was quick to reply to any questions we had. Overall, it had been a pleasure to work with her and we highly recommend her services.

Nicola designed the transformation of my tired and awkward separate kitchen and dining room into a gorgeous open plan kitchen/diner. I am absolutely delighted with it. She was able to visualise how the space and colours would work, and seamlessly integrated the possessions that I wanted to keep with lovely new items that she selected for me. My brief was to create a warm, slightly opulent room, with a nod to the 1930’s when the house was built, and Nicola has nailed it. She encouraged me to be bold, but also listened carefully and understood my taste and preferences. Not only does the room look great, but the design of the kitchen makes it a dream to cook in and enjoy. Nicola helped me choose first rate contractors for the work, and supported me throughout the build. In my opinion Nicola is a fantastic Interior Designer and, just as importantly, great fun to work with. I’m looking forward to engaging her again to update the rest of my house, starting with the entrance hall.
