“Lois Skelding at Design & Lo was fantastic and we would highly recommend their interior design services. They also helped with a new plan layout for our ground floor to make our existing kitchen much larger and make the rooms open plan. Initially we were unsure about hiring a designer for our project as we thought we could do this ourselves but as we begun the initial planning stages of the project we found it overwhelming and didn't really know where to start. We found Lois based in Brighton & Hove but were so glad when we found she covered London also (as we are based in East London). Lois listened to exactly what we wanted for our new space. She recommended many design ideas and space planning suggestions that we wouldn't have even thought about ourselves as we were keen to maximise the storage and light in the home. We had seen the design she had done for an extension project in Balham and we really wanted steel windows also with open plan living and dining room. She included this in the design for us which looked incredible. However due to COVID our plans were slightly delayed and it meant we had to re-design certain areas because some materials had increased in price, Lois was on hand to suggest new materials and alternatives which help keep our project in budget! Another area where I was scared to be bold was the paint colours and then choosing a kitchen together with flooring and lighting, I found that there were too many options to choose from...Design & Lo definitely helped us decide on a final design and be confident with our final choices. I thought mine and my husbands styles were too different but Lois managed to pull a design together that pleased both of us which was fantastic!”

She prepared an extremely detailed report on our home after the first consultation which detailed how she could improve our home. We loved Ceri straight from the get go! Then came the home staging which blew us away, the small details, amazing furniture and Ceri's amazing team breathed life into our rather bland home! “After deciding to downsize from the family home, I bought a new build property ‘off plan’ . There wasn’t a show home anywhere nearby so all I had was an architect’s plan . I needed help! My new house was a blank canvas . All rooms were painted white and I planned to keep it so but also wanted to introduce colours and textures. This was where Maddy’s experience and advice was invaluable. I had some rough ideas in my head and she was able to capture them and put some structure around them. She could tell me what was possible and available without having to trawl the internet for hours. There were also some items of furniture I wanted to keep and Maddy was a huge help in enabling me to place them seamlessly within the style of my new home, as well as source new furniture for me in time for moving date. As I sit here in my new home now I can say I couldn’t be more pleased with the results. I can highly recommend her . She made a potentially stressful process so much easier.”

Lucy carefully listened to our wishes and produced some beautiful design ideas to complement some of our existing furniture which we wanted to keep She is lovely to work with and makes it clear there’s no pressure to follow her designs . However, we were very inspired by Lucy’s ideas and having followed her advice, we’re absolutely delighted with our new room which has been transformed into a beautiful lux dining space. “Architecture and building work was something I had not done before and, while I had all the enthusiasm and tools to do the physical work myself, I found Tia at THM easy to work with and very professional, going beyond what was required to turn my loft conversion ideas into a straight forward, practical and trouble free proposition. I wanted to convert our high, Arts and Crafts style roof space into an en-suite master bedroom with other usable rooms under each of the gables. THM gave me very good initial advice about what options were available to me. Then, once we had agreed on an outline plan they were excellent at giving me ideas based on what I had thought but added numerous options of their own. They then gave me clear drawings, including options, to help a smooth passage through building control. They also gave me numerous material ideas and much professional guidance on my future plans for the further development of the property, at no extra cost.”
