About Us

The service I offer from my consultancy, REcreate, crosses the boundaries of traditional design specialisms such as architecture, interior design and spatial design. I combine my architectural knowledge with interior design expertise and project management to design or renovate internal spaces. The scope of my work can include structural alterations, fixed finishes, fixtures and fittings, lighting and colour schemes.

"Special thanks to Louise from REcreate Interiors for her architectural input, decor insights and advice, she helped to add that wow factor we wanted and that the house deserved. Louise brought organisation and professionalism to the project which meant that decisions were made with confidence and everything was decided, documented or at hand before the builders needed it. As she has a selection of quality, reliable and trusted suppliers this helped everything to go relatively smoothly considering we undertook the build during lockdown when there were serious supply and delivery issues with materials, fixtures and fittings. We really appreciated her grounded, honest and straight forward approach to her work. The project was far bigger than we initially anticipated and from the outset Louise steered us away from what we realised would have been some critical poor decisions and frankly we’re not sure we could have pulled it off without her support.

Lou helped me turn my vision of a new bathroom design and build into a reality. She has an excellent eye for detail and came up with lots of great ideas from concept through to completion. As well as this she was always on hand to give me advice and assistance. This was only a relatively small job but I would have no hesitation in using her for my next, imminent, project!

We initially employed Louise to design an ultra modern new house on which she did a very professional job. We then decided instead to buy and restore a 1920’s house and Louise managed to exceed our expectations despite the complete change in brief. Subsequently we employed her to project manage the procurement and delivery which was done with professionalism, enthusiasm and delivered on time. Louise is a pleasure to deal with.

Working with Louise has been an amazing experience and not only has her foresight saved us a lot of disruption and money later down the line, but most importantly delivering us exactly what we hoped to achieve, and more... She has assisted us on so many levels, creatively, practically, giving onsite assistance and coordination to ensure we end up with beautiful yet very functional, practical and timeless rooms, maximizing usability. She is unique in that she has so many additional skills other than great interior design capability and experience. She has a very holistic approach which makes a huge difference in creating a stunning home. We believed that we could design the rooms and spaces ourselves but during the process realised that we would have missed some very important elements so her services have been so very worthwhile. Everyone needs someone like Louise supporting them on their projects!!

Can’t recommend Louise at REcreate highly enough for her help and insight with spatial design for our bathroom project earlier this year. We had two pokey rooms and needed help to work out how to combine effectively & to get the best out of them. Louise presented several layouts / options, all of which were great, it was hard to choose! We chose one, knocked the two rooms into one & expanded into available spare space. Louise also advised on possible flooring & tiling options, as wells as coordinating paint options. We now have a fabulous bathroom that we love & suits us so much more than the two outdated rooms we inherited in our newly bought home.
