We hired Kate for advice on the interior design of our House of Multiple Occupancy. She was a pleasure to work with and her advice was invaluable in maximizing the layout of the property. She really helped us bring out the vision we had for our HMO. We are delighted with the end product.

I was unhappy with the way things were in my house but had no idea where to start to make it into the home I wanted. I loved my fireplace but just couldn't get it to look right. Kate came in and very quickly helped me to understand ways that could transform it and the rest of the lounge. She was a pleasure to work with and couldn't do enough to help. We are absolutely delighted with our new lounge!! Kate 'held our hand' throughout the process. We knew that we wanted to transform this space, but needed someone with a great 'eye' to help us to imagine how it could become the restful living space that we really wanted. From our initial consultations, Kate produced a Mood Board which was sooo helpful - and which led to us choosing the colours for the sofas and the walls. Kate's gentle encouragement and professional eye gave us the confidence we needed to choose a strong colour which we never would have felt bold enough to try by ourselves, and we love the result - it's so US! Kate's idea to have inbuilt cupboards in the alcoves was inspired, and she personally oversaw the design and construction of them, bringing in an excellent craftsman she knew would be able to create a bespoke product for us. This was a great and stylish solution to our practical need for storage. We have a large TV, which we wanted to keep, but which we did not want to dominate the room. Kate managed to achieve this for us, cleverly placing art above the fireplace as a focal point, and shelves around the TV. She is a creative stylist with lots of ideas to ensure the space she creates works for you, and is not only beautiful, but meets your practical needs. She is also fun to work with, bringing warmth, enthusiasm and positivity into the environment! Our Home is the 'Contemporary Lounge' featured in the photos on the Restoration Homes Page. Once the decorating was done, and the carpets and sofas had arrived, Kate then chose accessories (including lamps) and dressed the room with cushions, throws, lamps and pictures - all of which we love!! Even though we used our breakfast room before Kate from Restoration Homes came to restyle it, we certainly weren’t enjoying it to its full potential. I absolutely love the room now and not only do we spend a lot of time in it as a family, I also choose to relax in there as it’s so peaceful since the transformation. I had some ideas about what it was that I wanted from the space for our needs, but Kate brought other suggestions that I wouldn’t have thought of, whilst also giving me the confidence to go ahead with some of my own ideas. I found the whole process very enjoyable and it was great fun exploring the different possibilities, not to mention shopping for accessories! I would highly recommend Restoration Homed if there is any part of your home that you want transformed.
