I create schemes that are safe, warm and enveloping sanctuaries with a feminine playful twist. I blend my calm and contemporary sensibilities with a deep passion for colour. The result? Interiors that are subtle, gentle and beautifully feminine. An award-winning interior design studio based in St. Albans covering in and around St. Albans, Herts (Welwyn Garden City, Berkhamsted etc.) North London and Central London. I specialise in renovating residential projects and providing Project Management As featured in The Times, British Vogue, Good Housekeeping, Red Magazine, Your Home magazine, 25 Beautiful Homes and the BBC website. I start by working closely with you, getting to know and understanding your needs through my design process. I have three services: Design & Build, Full Renovation - which includes in-person design meetings and presentations, scaled floor plans, 3D renders, and elevations, submit our trusted contractors for the project and work with them to coordinate the project. The service also includes sourcing and placing orders on your behalf, installation of furniture, providing a full turnkey service. Hybrid Renovation Interior Design - ideal for the seasoned renovator who is renovating and wants the luxury of using a professional Interior Designer and their support throughout the project. This means you will have access to me whilst you are managing your build and placing orders yourself. eDesign - ideal for projects where no renovation works are taking place and is very popular with new builds. Great for those looking for a room refresh, using colour or struggling to visualise with pulling a design together. This service can be used anywhere in the UK as it is designed to deliver an interior design remotely. You'll receive everything that you need to complete a room and will be provided with a design scheme, floor plan, shopping list and aftercare support. We needed help with our kitchen layout and design and also our electrical plans and lighting choices. I love interiors and I’ve always wanted to work with a Designer. I’d been following Rukmini on Instagram for a while and her hybrid package was a great fit for me to have the luxury of a design for our new kitchen and the control to implement it. Particularly as I am not London based. Rukmini listened to me and my partner and involved us both in key decisions, asking us both questions which is exactly what I wanted to make sure the new space was a blend of us both.

Rukmini recently worked on designing my living room and bedroom. She planned every single detail from the flooring and paint, furniture, and even smaller accessories like vases and cushions that really make a space feel like home. She was super attentive to all my design requests and was responsive to any feedback and questions that I had during the design process. I was blown away by the final designs. She worked really hard to understand what colors, textures and style I liked in order to come up with a design that suited my personality and aesthetic. She also took great care to understand how my partner and I use the space (e.g. we like to look out of the window while eating breakfast!) in order to plan a layout that worked really well for us. I really appreciated how, at my request, she was also able to incorporate elements of my Indian and Eastern heritage in order to really make the space feel like my home whilst still having a universal appeal. She was also considerate of my budget and provided me with several options depending on how much I was able to spend. Rukmini has excellent taste and a great eye for design and was such a pleasure to work with.

For any layperson, it is quite a daunting task to undergo interior design without a third opinion and I can comfortably say Rukmini's input and opinion was an absolute Gem. to get the design concepts her general engagement was second to none. As a property investor I saw huge value in using Rukmini. She is fantastic at her trade and was incredibly helpful in helping with my decision making on colour scheme, seeing the pro and cons in different areas of my project and informative with what I could achieve from my investment. I personally find it time consuming spending hours on details such as colours etc so what Rukmini does is she allows me to focus on other things/investments while ensuring that when the works are complete and my builder applies what she suggests I have a long standing investment that goes above and beyond and by far blows the competition out the water. It’s good knowing the finished article will be there and she has given me huge confidence in what I want to achieve .
