I've worked with Distinctive Studios in my capacity as a portrait photographer across three very unique properties which she designed and renovated: "Dunford House" in West Sussex , "The Bugle" in Southampton and at "Kempshott Road" in London. Quite simply The Dulwich House wouldn’t have happened without Siouxsie. From her initial involvement with The Dulwich House her creativity and enthusiasm helped the location blossom from potential, to a beautifully presented and unique business, always taking ideas an extra few steps beyond where I could imagine. Since launching, her experience in the industry has helped us maintain a busy schedule and she has always been available to offer her valuable advice along the way.

Siouxsie was brought on board to help make our new house at Henderson, a comfortable home. I wanted her to create an overall functional yet unique space to entertain and enjoy with friends and family. The reason I chose Siouxsie was for her bold design ideas and her ability to really step outside the creative box, as the property was not going to be just a home but also a multi functional photographic location space. From the first meeting with Siouxsie I felt assured that she would bring all her creative experience and knowledge to design a show stopping finish through out the property. She worked within a tight schedule and completed the project all within the scheduled time frame. Her communication around all design and execution phases was very good, and I was kept in the conversation at all times. Her sourcing of unusual props and furniture was extraordinary, how she managed to track down some of the pieces. She is obviously well connected with many antiques, furniture suppliers and designers across the country and Europe. Siouxsie works very visually so I could picture how each room would look, with mood boards and images of all the product that she was proposing for each room. I would recommend Siouxsie and the project at Henderson was a huge success, we love spending time in the house and enjoying all the quirky areas within the property.

I have been very fortunate to work with Siouxsie on one of her on going projects at Kempshott creating two wall effects in a main bedroom and a down stairs toilet area, and to my amazement and so humbled to have made a full page spread in Living ect magazine. I found that Siouxsie had a good strong idea but also allowed me to express my self and add to her vision. Fortunately our working relations carried on afterwards where I was employed for a wonderful project at another client of Siouxsie’s, called Skyfall where once again I was given some direction, but allowed to create unhindered by my new client. Such a kind and understanding personality to work with, I actually can’t wait to the next time we work together x
