Springbok and Rose Interior Design

Having brought a new house that needed a lot of updating, we were slightly at a loss as to where to start and how to decorate almost all of our downstairs rooms and have it look cohesive. Lara and Janine were such a huge help, coming up with lots of ideas and suggestions for each room for us to choose from. It was our first experience with interior designers and they patiently spent time with us at every stage and we are delighted with the outcome. We also have to applaud their tradesmen and women that also assisted in the transformation.

I warmly recommend working with Lara and Janine. They have a wonderful taste and they’re brilliant In every single suggestion. My wife and I hired them because we literally hated our lounge room. Lara and Janine were able to turn it into something so beautiful and cosy that now it’s the room where we spend the most of our time at home. Last but not least, we extremely enjoyed the process: Lara and Janine took care of hiring and managing all the contractors, as well as dealing with all the purchases.

I highly recommend working with Springbok Rose. I knew I wanted our living room to feel inviting and cosy but no idea how to make it happen. Janine and Lara were so easy to work with - listened well, quickly understood my style, gave me lots of ideas and also challenged me to consider new styles and ideas. My partner and I engaged Lara and Janine to assist us in a redesign of the living room in our first house. As first-time homeowners, we didn't really understand the scope of what was possible and how we could change the room. We had an idea of budget and some vague design goals, but that was about it. We are so thankful that we ended up going with Springbok and Rose rather than attempt to design the room ourselves. They are both extremely responsive; they ran us through options at different budget levels and we reached a lovely color scheme and design in an iterative process where our feedback was always taken into consideration and integrated into the design process. Even though the room was designed by Lara and Janine, it feels more "us" than we'd be able to design ourselves! They were able to recommend structural changes to the room that we would have never come up with ourselves, and the result is a beautifully designed, cozy, and coherent living room. When we were considering an interior designer we initially worried that the room may feel a bit like a show-home; however, by taking our tastes and feedback into account, we ended up with a room that really feels homey. We engaged them for the project management side of things as well. From a business perspective, they are both extremely professional, generating itemized invoices promptly. Cost-wise, we felt the cost was extremely fair: both the project management and design fees are a fraction of the overall budget of realistically furnishing and redesigning a room. Much of it was made up by their ability to secure trade pricing on items of furniture or decorations, meaning the actual cost delta of a professionally designed living room vs. a DIY effort is in reality pretty minimal. As mentioned before, both my partner and I are hopeless with DIY and really anything to do with home ownership, and engaging them as project managers meant that the process was as stress-free as possible: they arranged tradespeople and communicated to us exactly when they'd arrive, what they'd do, and what we needed to do to prepare. And really, to provide the ultimate recommendation: we enjoyed the process (and the end result) so much that we've engaged them again to design another room in the house!

The Springbok and Rose team updated five rooms/spaces in our home, all of which looked tired and in need of an update. From the start, they saw new potential in the spaces in our home and suggested some great ideas to change the function of some rooms which we have taken on board and they were totally right! Lara and Janine were offered so many great ideas for improvements which entirely transformed our home. Through talking about different decor and colour ideas, Lara and Janine developed an understanding of what my husband and I liked and worked with us to put forward suitable options but also pushed us to try a few colours and furnishings we wouldn’t otherwise have chosen and the effect has been brilliant. The time they invested in researching and sending us options, samples and so on saved us so much time and hassle, which was invaluable being a busy working couple with a family. We had regular communication throughout to keep things moving along and about any expected installations and deliveries, working with us to make sure things were done at times that suited us. We love our beautiful refreshed decor and highly recommend Springbok and Rose.

Janine and Lara were fantastic to work with. They brought lots of bright, creative and fun ideas to our project and nothing was too much to ask. They were very responsive on the project management side as there is inevitably lots to organise and manage. I liked how they positively encouraged us to try new concepts and we are delighted with all of the rooms they helped us transform. They work very well together and I think it is a bonus to have both of their perspectives. I would highly recommend them.

Springbok and Rose have produced excellent and creative designs for our lounge, snug and master bedroom. They were professional and a pleasure to deal with at all times. We highly recommend them.

Our experience has been extremely positive. In the initial consultation they provided insights and advice beyond the brief, which inspired us to make some changes in some other rooms which we were not expecting. We were working to a modest budget and throughout they had this in mind as they developed the designs. Lara and Janine completely redesigned my 13-year old daughter's bedroom, with the perfect teenage California-Malibu vibe, a bleached wood feature wall, new floor, fabulously realistic plants, all new furniture and lighting - and it looks wonderful. It was a tricky room to work with, with sloping ceilings - and they did all of the design and sourcing virtually in lockdown, which was even more amazing. I would recommend them highly to anyone - they are creative, practical, patient and charming, and having also used them to redesign my son's teenage bedroom a couple of years earlier, I can testify they can work to any brief brilliantly.

Working with Lara and Janine has been such a Joy! I love my home even more. They are very professional, easy to talk to, they got me! Not only is my home beautiful but it is also functional.
