Throughout a strenuous renovation of a listed building in bath, Michelle's been the person I turn to whenever I get stuck! She sourced a beautiful stone fireplace surround that the conservation officers were happy with. And was the only person to work out how best to suspend a new ceiling around two hundred year old rotten beams (the officer said they had to stay!) without the new ceiling ending up below the top of the windows! Her ability to problem solve and think outside the obvious is amazing. As a mother herself she also understands how to get the house to function on a practical level with great ideas for storage and the needs of my two young girls. When we had to move into a far from finished house, her advice to ensure they were settled by getting their space finished and creating temporary areas to carry out their normal routines - from hanging up coats to watching tv - meant they transitioned brilliantly. She's also genuinely lovely and caring and a pleasure to work with. She understands my style better than me and finds lovely affordable pieces of furniture from her various antique contacts. Nothing is ever too much - from getting a paintbrush out to help finish decorating (her cutting in is amazing) to getting duvets cut down to toddler size. I would definitely recommend getting her involved from the outset to help layout rooms and find lovely things you can actually afford to go in them!

Michelle is an amazingly talented stylist as well as a genuinely lovely human being. She’s earned the nickname “Magic Miche” in our house for her ability to transform any tired old room/home into a stunning masterpiece. Michelle is incredibly easy to work with - she listens well, never dictates and brings fantastic ideas and creativity to the table, whilst always keeping your personal taste at the forefront of her mind - She has extensive knowledge of colour and space and her creations are often as functional as they are beautiful - After turning my (somewhat cloudy) vision into a concrete plan, Michelle organised contractors where needed, sourced furniture and accessories at competitive rates and worked tirelessly to make sure I was completely happy with the end result - I’m so proud of my home now! Michelle delivered more than I ever expected and I simply can’t recommend her enough.

Michelle has worked on three properties for me, refreshing a tired guest room in our family home, refurbishing a five bedroom coastal rental property and updating a flat in bristol. Michelle is fun to work with as she is passionate about her work and has real vision. She is inspirational but never intimidating and has an extraordinary talent for spotting the right piece of furniture /accessory/colour that has a transformational effect. She has real talent and brings a freshness to an industry that can be cliched and precious. She keeps costs to a minimal, always looking for ways to upcycle existing pieces. She has a spooky ability of being able to translate my clumsy ideas into something fresh, modern, stylish yet still warm and homely - I have loved working with her and cannot recommend her highly enough whether you are looking to up style a single piece of furniture or renovate an entire house - she's the one!

I contacted VERVE initially for advice on paint colours. Not only was Michelle very knowledgable about products, but she also has a really keen eye for which colors will work well together. She is solution focused too, and helped me to simplify my options where appropriate. I happened to mention that I was trying to source a few items of furniture and fittings, and she was on to it immediately; directing me to links that were wonderfully helpful to my project. Michelle is by far the best interior designer, home consultant, house stager and furniture spotter. I have had her help to completely redo my Victorian home on a very tight budget and she has always over delivered in each room. Providing both a creative but budget conscious approach I would literally recommend her to absolutely anyone no matter what the scope, from a small room facelift to a complete house renovation Michelle provides the passion and tenacity to make it happen. How can I start reviewing Michelle from VERVE? I say start as, i hope, she will be following me with her advice in my new house...... I am in the process of selling my house and, l can honestly say, I would not be as confident and relax as l am now without Michelle's help - on a budget! My house has been completely decorated and restyled. From the initial assessment, her involvement has been the key factor to its success. Drawing a plan, choosing colour schemes, sourcing the best prized material, gaining the trust of a group of painters and decorators (a mean feast when you are dealing with a bunch of blokes that 'know better'!) helping you to let go of things you think you want to keep ( but realise you don't). Selling, swapping, free-cycling, auctioning, E-baying - all the time-consuming activities related to a change or a move taken care of, and, most importantly, given regular updates on all outgoings and in-comings. I give Michelle a five star rating for sensitivity, pricing and efficiency . My only fear is that she will be so popular I will not be able to tap on he advice and services when I need it but my name for her is Superwoman so, good luck Michelle, you will her from me soon...
