About Us

My service is pretty unique. I like to start at the beginning and work through the various stages of design if it is a major project. I work with my clients to discuss the options before the architects and builders come in to play. Together we can find out what you want, and how it can be made possible. I will do scale floor plans, lighting plans and furniture plans using things you already have or projecting ahead of what you would like to have. Then when the architects draw up plans you will be confident your home will really have what you need. If you need an extra 100mm to fit the sofa of your dreams we can make sure it's added to the plans. The lighting plan is essential and to know what you would like as the wiring is installed early on. I will advise and plan so you can really have your dream. All the way through I support my clients and can take care of the day to day management of your project. Or I can use my experience where to source wallpapers, fabrics and furniture. I am not tied to any products but I have a huge knowledge of what's available and I can use that to ensure your home is unique. I work to each clients budget and keep you up to date with my progress on the project. If I'm managing a project I take photos during the day and discuss any issues with the builders to ensure the project is kept running on schedule. My clients feel that it benefits them as they are not having to make choices when they are in work meetings etc and sometimes these decisions can be big ones. I keep on top of what's coming ahead and make sure my clients are prepared and advise.

We bought an old Manor House that needed completely gutting and I became exhausted by having to make so many decisions, having never done a renovation before. It was so overwhelming. I did lots of the house but ran out of steam. Sarah came along like a breath of fresh air, with energy, enthusiasm and lots of samples! Just what I needed to get me through. I had made Sarah’s job harder, having half done bits here and there and started on other rooms. She had to pick up the pieces I had attempted, rather than starting with a blank canvas. But, she did it perfectly and in particular helped create a master bedroom and en-suite that I’m so proud to call mine. Thank you!

When we came close to the complete of our refurbishment I remember feeling daunted at the thought of choosing tiles, doors, light fittings, furniture, kitchen worktops, window coverings, furniture etc. Sarah came highly recommended and right from the first first phone call I felt a sense of relief and support. At all times she struck the right balance between being extremely professional and being friendly . She helped us with any element of the build we need input on. Whilst our home is not completely finished yet due to time and budget constraints what we have have achieved so far I love and there are elements that Sarah suggested and sometimes sourced such as our internal doors, curtains, paint colours etc that give me a little bit of joy every time I see them.

Sarah has a winning combination of creative flair and practical wisdom that enabled us to choose exactly what we wanted to do to make changes to our kitchen and integral garage. She offered design ideas, liaised with different suppliers and was on hand throughout the four month project to help smooth out difficulties that arose. Without her calm and creative problem solving skills, we would not have the conversion of our dreams. I highly recommend Sarah and would use her services again.

We completely rebuilt our house during lockdown, which was no easy task, and couldn’t have got through it without Sarah’s amazing support. She was available to give expert advice and guidance on every aspect of our project from paint colours to feature lights and pushed us to think ‘outside the box’ when choosing fittings which were always far more dramatic and stylish than the ones we chose! We are so happy in our new home and everything ‘hangs together’ due to Sarah’s expertise in knowing what looks good with what - we can’t recommend Sarah highly enough and love the finished result.

I am absolutely delighted with Sarah’s work. Sarah re-designed the ground floor of my house, which gave our busy family the living space we needed. Sarah listened carefully to our requirements and worked closely with us to get them just right. I felt she really listened to what few ideas I did have (as this sort of thing does not come naturally to me) and she incorporated these in to all of our decisions on layout, décor, everything! During the build phase, I was incredibly impressed with Sarah’s daily updates of progress, carefully highlighting what decisions would be required and by when, also knowing when to take charge and act decisively when necessary. She is extremely knowledgeable and full of great ideas, and I especially appreciated her seeking out samples and ideas in advance of choosing fabrics and paints, really helping me to manage my own time spent on decision making. I am extremely grateful to Sarah for stepping us through the revamp of our house. Her enthusiasm and passion for her work is infectious. And I absolutely love my beautiful home now! Anyone thinking of starting a house project but a little daunted by the work ahead shouldn’t hesitate to give Sarah a call.

I was having my whole house refurbished and redecorated which was quite overwhelming with lots of decisions to make. WINTER homes designer guided me and suggested wall colours, window blinds, curtains, carpets, bathroom tiling and even garden changes. They made the process of refreshing my home simpler, gave me confidence in my choices, ordered and measured furnishings thereby saving my time. Without a doubt Sarah made our house renovation project a lot less stressful and saved us a lot time searching for options (tiles, paint, furnishings etc). Sarah is so experienced, with an amazing breadth of knowledge from build and design through to finishing touches. She listened to our brief and quickly understood which parts of the build we needed her help on. Some aspects of the project Sarah led and others she advised when needed; Sarah is happy working either way. The design ideas she came up with not only suited our style and budget, but also introduced us to new concepts, which we loved. I thoroughly recommend Sarah.

Sarah has advised me several times over the years. She's brilliant she knows everything! You don't have to use the whole service, if you are clear about what you want she can do everything from suggesting a paint colour, helping you chose a tile or giving advice on the type of curtains to have. I have found everything she has said to be spot on, regretted not using her advice and saw afterwards that she was right, and also been glad that I went for the more daring tile, and the more muted but darker paint. Honest, direct, professional and able to help you to create your own personal style - helping you to be more than just the latest trend or the blandest 'safe option', but a stylish practical reflection of you and showing your house off to its best with just a few tweaks!

Zara Kitchen Design

Last year Sarah worked with us for several months when we had a major re-fit of our showroom. Although we had 'sketched out' the main areas and had a good idea of the elements we wanted to highlight Sarah was able to bring her interior design expertise to create eye catching displays. She helped with door choices and colour combinations for all the different aspects of the displays. She was able to help with choosing wallpaper, flooring and tiling. Her advice was invaluable. She brought her experience and expertise to help us create stylish displays. We would recommend her services especially if need advice on open plan spaces.
