“The reason I chose to use My Friend Sally was because initially I couldn't find any curtain fabric to go with my existing suite. The suite had seen little wear so I couldn't justify replacing it. In the end I asked Sally to do the whole room, curtains, lighting, paint, carpet, footstool and chair as I had inherited 1980s anaglypta and patterned carpet. Sally had lots of good ideas and worked to my budget. She offers a lot for her fee and she gave her time freely and nothing was too much trouble. We found some super curtain fabric that went perfectly with my suite and my room has been transformed, I could not have done it with out her or her trade accounts which are fantastic.”

“We’re currently working with Mel to renovate our old house. I find decision making exhausting at times, and with 3 small children I rarely get time to myself to either go shopping for inspiration or get peace in the internet to research ideas. She’s amazing. I vaguely tell her what we’re thinking and she comes back with options that were exactly the sort of thing we were hoping for but without doing the legwork ourselves! Her taste is unquestionable and there are times she’s quite rightly told me why I should tailor my ideas more to hers, but she’s tactful enough to recognise when something is important to me and I don’t want to compromise on a style idea. We’ve done a living room and 3 bedrooms with her help now, and are currently embracing an extension with a new kitchen, a dining room, hall and renovating 3 bathrooms. I can’t rate her highly enough, and can only imagine the stress of trying to sort and choose all this myself. From selecting bathroom porcelain in our budget to advising colour schemes for walls, I’m so happy we have her to refer to and help us with decision making! She’s utterly invaluable and I’d rather cut the budget for tangible things than lose her help, she’s worth every penny xx”
