“I had a fairly large border (approx 8m x 5m) which had been neglected for a few years. I wanted to create a low maintenance flower bed and liked the idea of a country garden look. Ben and Paul came round and assessed what was there in terms of position (light/shade), soil and the shrubs which were worth retaining. We also discussed budget. I then received a planting plan with a quotation and commissioned the work. The bed was cleared and planted mid June and I am delighted with the result. I now have a bed which will flower more or less from May to September and will require increasingly less maintenance as it matures. FGD are extremely knowledgeable and gave me advice on other areas of my garden (not areas which will result in work for them). I do have another two areas which do need a makeover and I will certainly commission them to undertake the project.”

“Very pleased with the job Zane and his team did, it's high quality and very sturdy. They came in to sort out a poor job done by a previous company. As soon as we met Zane we had confidence that he could help us. The work done has given us a great base from which we will now be able to make our garden into something really lovely. “We just didn't know what to do with the small, neglected garden of our new house. But Jo did. She listened attentively to our ideas, then made exciting and quite daring suggestions that really stretched our imaginations, and encouraged us to be brave enough to go beyond the ordinary. The result is a stunning riverside garden that regularly stops passers-by in their tracks. Jo's detailed and professional illustrations enabled us to visualise the new garden. Her knowledge of plants has given us a garden full of interest which, with the clever use of different levels and textures, looks much bigger then it is. And she really cares about the gardens she creates. Nine months after the garden was finished, when Jo heard that the Thames had flooded, she contacted us and generously offered her help with any repairs and replanting needed. But inspite of two weeks under water, we didn't lose any plants or suffer any damage. Jo's clever design and planting (flood resilience was part of the brief) gave us a garden that withstood the floods and came back looking even better in it's second year. Jo was an absolute pleasure to work with.”

“Jane provided a complete garden design by post, based on our own measurements and new spaces planned, once a planned house extension is completed. The end deliverable was a surprise so we communicated almost entirely by email, and it was a complete success. Jane is extremely knowledgeable about garden design and was always prompt in responding to questions, queries and general email comms. I thoroughly enjoyed the process! I felt she understood our brief well and went the extra mile in creating a pintrest board of photo ideas to accompany the design, as well as sketched options and a scale plan of the final design. I loved her sketches so much I had to ask her for some colour versions of the final designs as they bring to life her ideas so well, visually. Jane has kept in touch since, and kindly offered her support and advice should any questions come up once we complete our extension and move on to the garden, over the coming months. “We used Hendy Curzon Gradens to re-design our small walled garden. Even though this was a small project in comparison to some of their other work we were never made to feel any less important. Our first meeting with Adrienne and Nick went really well, we talked at length about all the various options, they listened to our "must have's" and considered the interior of our home in order for our garden compliment this. Their next process was to design and provide several storyboards of how our garden could look, these were well thought through and captured interest. During the landscaping phase, the HC team were excellent. The guys they employ to "build" the garden were very tidy, well mannered and a pleasure to have around. Planting was carried out by Adrienne, her attention to detail was fantastic. Our garden is now full of interest and is about to be a 'burst' of colour. I would recommend Hendy Curzon to anyone. They are a wonderful group of people to work with, who clearly love what they do, they are fresh with ideas but above all like to work with their clients on a partnership level. Great job here and thank you for making our garden such a wonderful place to spend time in.”
