“Having recently downsized to a flat, we inherited a kitchen that had been refurbished but had not been finished off properly so there were unsightly (and unhygienic) gaps and holes in various places. Also, although the wall and base units were of good quality, other components, for example the worktops, were not. We did not want to discard the units, and many kitchen fitters will not take on the partial refurbishment that we wanted. However, SSK are built on the ethic of avoiding gratuitous waste, and they did a wonderful job for us. Not only did they replace all the components that we wished to replace, but they suggested other design changes that we had not thought of, including fitting some excellent bespoke shelving. They also sourced additional cupboard doors, cornices, pelmets etc. to match the original pattern, so the final effect was of a unified whole. Our kitchen was thus transformed from a problem area to a space which looks good, works well, and has no hidden nasties. The actual process of the transformation, from my first enquiring phone call through to completion, was as trouble-free as it is possible to be in the real world, everyone was very affable and cheerful, and we were always confident of an excellent outcome.”
