About Us

Alan McCormick Kitchens is owned and run by Alan, a qualified Carpenter and Kitchen Specialist with over 28 years experience. He has extensive experience in the building trade and long standing relationships with other trade professionals. This means his quotes and advice are based on a sound knowledge base. Alan has developed an excellent reputation for supplying and installing beautiful fitted kitchens. He has 15 years trading behind him and prides himself on his high standards of craftsmanship. Alan is independent and can supply and fit kitchens from an extensive range to suit all budgets. With no middle man you save money (compared to in-store fitters). Free planning and design services are also available. Alan will be happy to work with you from the start of the project to its completion, making sure that the end results meet your exact specifications. He has experience in fitting all major brand kitchens. Whether you want a complete new kitchen, supplied and fitted, or simply on a supply only basis, Alan will be more than happy to discuss your requirements, with no obligation. He uses a dedicated CAD (Computer Aided Design) program to create images that will make your ideas come alive (see our planning and design section for more information and examples). Alan guarantees his quotes and prides himself on offering a fair and honest service. This means the vast majority of his work comes from recommendations from satisfied customers. Tried to call alan to see if i could work for him and he started screaming at me saying it's a tps which wasn't stated in his description and said I had him on some list but i found his number on houzz , and all i was trying to do was have a nice conversation with him , asked him how we was then he switched on me and he was quite rude and abrupt . the call was recorded so you can see where i was coming from

Alan helped us design bespoke wardrobes for our master bedroom. We had some challenges as the bedroom is partly lower ground with tanked walls. He approached the project with the utmost diligence and care. Alan recently designed and installed a new kitchen and utility room for me. I am absolutely delighted and thrilled with the end result and would highly recommend Alan without hesitation. From the outset, Alan was extremely patient during the design phase. I changed my mind several times about the positioning of units and Alan provided me with a series of detailed drawings that made it easier for me to make a decision. The quality of the worktops, units and lighting that I have are extremely high and the overall finish is beautiful. Alan is fastidious in his attention to detail and with the finishing. He also has much knowledge and experience that you can draw on in terms of what might and might not work and overall whilst having a new kitchen and utility is pretty invasive on your daily life, Alan ensured that as far as he could, the disruption was minimized. I was without a washing machine for one day, a very important consideration when you have children and without an over for just over a week. Overall Alan is highly professional and his work is of a very, very high standard.

I can't recommend Alan highly enough. Having been to a few design consultations with the large kitchen companies in Exeter, I was disappointed to be told that I couldn't have certain features in my kitchen, mainly because their computer programs did not include these designs. Alan was able to work with me and suggest ways to make these features a reality, making use of his carpentry skills and practical, on the job knowledge. He made excellent suggestions regarding lighting, surfaces, plumbing features and trims, keeping our budget firmly in mind. Alan is extremely personable and made the whole experience very positive; he has an eye for detail and we are extremely pleased with our finished kitchen.

This is about wonderful work that Alan carried out a long time ago - I hope that still counts! It would have been approx. 2003/4 in Poughill. Alan made an utterly beautiful kitchen for our cottage that we were refurbishing. It looked absolutely gorgeous after and he was very quick, neat and tidy and efficient and I am sure he will still work this way. It was very cost-effective and he was so helpful with fine-tuning our design. Terrific.

I would recommend Alan to anyone wanting a bespoke kitchen, he worked with imagination, respect for what I wanted and informed me of any alterations or changes that needed to be made. He gave me a kitchen that I love and is suited to my house. He is also tidy, efficient and a perfectionist, and has a great sense of humour.

alan was brilliant.he interpreted my design and,offered additional helpful ideas.He was efficient,arrived on time and stuck to his original quote even though things changed a bit in the making.Our old house with no straight walls was certainly a challenge and alan wasskillful.he made 5 units of different sizes,with shelves,drawers and a specially designed drawer for rubbish and recycling.
