Diane, Emma and the Team We would like to thank you all and say that our kitchen has surpassed our wildest dreams. 12 months ago we approached several kitchen designers and were extremely disappointed with their lack of vision and understanding of our requirements and aspirations. Then you were recommended to us by a friend and from our very first meeting with Emma it was clear that not only did you understand our requirements, but your product was clearly superior and your vision was leagues ahead of the competition. You took what was previously two rooms, forming a very poor working space, and developed a design that integrated the rooms into a single well-structured kitchen. Emma was excellent and a pleasure to work with. From producing the initial design and being patient with us through the detailed design and selection of units and appliances, giving us valuable guidance and ideas throughout the entire process. We have finally added all our finishing touches and love spending time in our new kitchen, cooking, relaxing and entertaining. Our friends and family are amazed at the finished product every time they visit. Once again many thanks for all your hard work, vision and attention to detail. Best Wishes Neil & Sheila August 2014

Elite Kitchens..a name that not only sounds like its taken at least three seconds to create but is cheesier than a big lump of Red Leicester . Not just that, the title by definition leaves the owner Paul O'Brien a lot to live up to. Now when people are looking to spend money on their kitchen there are a couple of facts we need to consider. First of all the kitchen is the most used room in the house. Its not only a room, its a place of work and a place for social gathering..so there's no point in penny pinching . In a world overflowing with cliches heres one that relates to Paul "You only get what you pay for......I'll warn you here...Elite are not cheap... BUT his work is top drawer ...if you want a beutifull ,bespoke, robust, functional and long lasting kitchen then contact Paul

Art House Creative Interiors designed and installed our kitchen. They worked to a very high standard and were both imaginative and practical in accommodating our needs and desires. Julie, with whom we worked more closely, paid close attention to detail whilst not losing sight of our overall objectives. Julie was also mindful of any budgetary constraints or issues. The design and installation teams worked well in tandem with our builders to ensure all was as it should be for fitting. The end product is fabulous and we are delighted with it. There have been a few minor glitches since installation, which have been dealt with swiftly and pleasantly - which is also an important aspect of the service.

Excellent design ideas; we talked through several options before I made my final choice. Richard has been unfailingly patient and helpful; and made sure the budget wasn't blown by my more fanciful ideas. He came up with some really creative solutions to the particular challenges of my home/ space available. I would highly recommend him.
David Lisle

Back in the closing weeks of 2008, we provided David Lisle with a description of the space, our requirements, some dimensions and a couple of photos. It wasn’t long before he began sketching free hand on a large sheet of paper with a biro, producing imaginative, striking and unique ideas as he worked. His years of experience had clearly given him a strong appreciation of the practical ergonomics of a workspace, but it was the beauty of his creation that was always front and centre. Over the following few days, we threw ideas to and fro until we arrived at a genuinely exciting design. Other than the oven housing, fridge/freezer and dishwasher, there were no “standard units” in the room. If the space needed a 617mm drawer unit, then that was what David designed and specified. There are no random filler strips in his work other than those necessary to cater for the inherent imperfections in all walls. His design was 100% bespoke and it showed in David’s sketches and technical drawings. The install was expected to take 5 weeks, and in-spite of some heavy February snow causing some issues, the project was delivered exactly on time. There were 17 craftsmen/women involved in the creation of our room and every one of them provided a superb and professional service. Once completed, the kitchen was simply stunning. It’s 7 years since the install and nearly everyone who has ever stepped into the room has commented on how lovely it is. Other than a few small pieces of general wear and tear, the room looks as perfect as the day it was installed and I attribute this primarily to the quality of the product. A David Lisle kitchen really does represent ‘value for money’. There are other, lower cost ways of installing a new kitchen, but these will not come close to the level of quality, unique design, bespoke service and attention to detail delivered with a David Lisle kitchen. We feel that our kitchen was worth every penny, and it continues to give us pleasure every day. Consequently we have no hesitation in recommending David Lisle to anyone in the market for a new kitchen, especially if they want to make a lasting statement with the room.

We had the kitchen of our late Victorian terraced house replaced in November with some items custom built to our requests. Excellent materials, very good clean workmanship and good communication with the project leader and his team. The custom built pull out table is just what we wanted and made of solid materials. The fan built into our existing chimney breast has been very successfully getting rid of cooking smells etc. The internal kitchen door was converted to a sliding door which has opened up the kitchen. We were well above our original budget partly because of the quality of materials, new appliances and some extras e.g. more building work than was anticipated. After care has been very good and prompt attention given to any problems.

We absolutely love our new kitchen!! The design was exactly what we had in mind but David gave a few suggestions which we hadn’t thought of and it turned out even better. The fitting was fast (about 3-4 days as it’s a small kitchen) and the lads were really tidy and respectful of the rest of our house. To be honest we could have paid double the price elsewhere and not got the care, service and design ideas from Cook & Baker - I definitely recommend speaking to David if you want a great kitchen at a fair price! - Laura & Brett

Designed and installed bespoke kitchen units and work surfaces in an old country cottage. Provided an excellent service from initial ideas through to completion. The quality of the materials and workmanship was first rate. Very friendly and approachable. Used contract staff for the installation but they were very professional.

I must say the service from Phil and his team was excellent. We had quotes from Wickes and Howdens which were roughly 20% more expensive than MLS. I was a little dubious at first about going with an independent kitchen supplier but after reading various reviews and meeting Phil and the owner Mike at the showroom all those worries were put to bed. We opted for the white gloss door with the integrated handle without any pelmets with an Island sink and taps. We needed an internal wall moving to open up the utility room. This is where Richard the builder/fitter comes in who came to survey the job along with Phil who were both very informative as to what needed to be done and the timescales associated with the building/installation works. I was then given a delivery and installation date and the kitchen and appliances were delivered on time. Richard and Mick arrived the next day to remove the wall and install the appropriate steel RSJ, and reboard the ceiling ready for the new spotlights. The next day began with Rob the electrician attending to put first fix electrics in followed by the installation of the kitchen units. We did have a problem as two doors were damaged but a quick call by Richard to base and replacements arrived the next day. The units were all installed after day 3 and someone from the granite company attended to template our kitchen. I was told it would take 7 days for the granite to be turned around but the granite was actually installed 4 days after the survey. Richard and Mick returned a couple of days later to finish our lovely kitchen. Richard even demonstrated how to use the lovely Neff coffee machine. I will be recommending MLS to family and friends. Thanks MLS !
