Great Bathroom result! Knocked two small bathrooms into one large family bathroom and it made a huge difference to the house. Chris and his team worked professionally and quickly and the end result is a lovely space to be in - looks like a boutique hotel! Great customer service, nothing is too much bother for him, and he is fastidiously tidy - no mess at any stage of the job. I can't recommend him enough.

We approached Eternal Kitchens with a view to wanting a new kitchen moved downstairs from its prior position. They arranged everything - electrics/plastering/moving of radiators and designed, built and installed a new kitchen. Not to mention removing the old kitchen and dealing with the residual mess! All of which was done on time and on budget. Very impressed with the high quality of their work. We love the kitchen - it is glorious.

In-toto kitchens designed & installed our kitchen in Spring 2014. Fiona listened to our brief, (which was quite exacting) & interpreted our need expertly. What we did appreciate was her spacial management of the whole room - how we would be using it -kitchen/dining & lounge area & she came up with some excellent suggestions that work really well for us. Expertly installed by Mike - thank- you all.

I spent a long time researching kitchen companies. Tried the usual big players with the huge showrooms with mixed reviews. Then I read about some of the German kitchen suppliers and fitters, and their reputation for quality. This led me to Kutchenhaus in Clifton, Bristol. Originally, I used their online kitchen design app, to give me a ballpark figure for price. This compared favourably to some of the larger competitors so I booked an appointment for a design. Although the showroom in Bristol is modest, it was enough to confirm that the quality of the kitchens was good and introduce me to rest of the range. Its smaller size also meant it felt like a more personal experience and we got to spend lots of time refining our design with the manager and kitchen designer. The design process was very good. The designer was able to help us create our vision and gave us plenty of options when it came to price and to help us refine what we did and didn't want. In the end, the design was a very good price and more affordable than some others. We did, however, choose to buy our own appliances, which helped bring the price down. The delivery experience was also first rate. Despite having driven through the night to make their deliveries, the (massive and German) deliverymen were considerate and courteous. Even though we had yet to finish the room the kitchen was to be fitted in, they did not make a fuss when we asked them to load the units up in a different room. There was not a single item missing and they were thorough checking off everything from the list. We chose to have the kitchen fitted by own our fitters, rather than those from Kutchenhaus but had nothing but compliments from our fitters. Not just because of the quality of the carcasses and the door fronts, but that all the accompanying fixings ensured it was pieced together well. If I had any criticism, it would be that the door front for the dishwasher stumped our fitters. However, Kutchenhaus did send one of their own fitters to do it and proved it was far easier than we originally thought! Other than that, I would readily recommend Kutchenhaus. It was a great experience throughout, a good price (with no misleading sales - the kitchen was cheaper than others, even those having a 'sale'), no high-pressure selling and I have nothing but good things to say about the quality and finish.

I have worked with Idesign on three separate occasions. I have have an ensuite, bathroom and kitchen refurbished by them. I have found them to be very knowledgable about the products available and their recommendations were sound. The team are courteous and they cleaned up after themselves at the end of each day. The results are fantastic, I have fallen in love with my house again!

Making Wood Work

Julian is a dedicated and sincere craftsman of wood and, dare I say it, a perfectionist too. I came to know Julian and his family when my wife and I moved to Somerset in 2006 and wanted to restore and develop the interior of our part of a traditional Somerset double-gabled house dating from 1802. Julian revealed to us beams of ancient elm that had been buried under plaster by subsequent unappreciative generations and then created anew items made from fallen elm to echo the traditional wood used in this area. Items include, for our bathroom, an eliptical elm surface on which a sink sits, for my study a curved desk of elm (which is a joy to sit at). Also for my study, floor to ceiling shelves, with small LED lights that emerge from the wood as if modern candles. He created a special in-built lectern to display some artworks in book-form with two pages to view. Downstairs he created our kitchen, matching stone surfaces to specially chosen wood and restoring an enormous welsh dresser, making drawers accessible with modern movement while retaining the age old beauty of the original piece. At our office in Hampton Court, in homage to the famous Japanese American wood craftsman, George Nakashima 1905-1990, he created our boardroom table. This was from a fallen elm opened longitudinally, revealing the imperfections of time, and allowing the natural curve of the outer shape of the original tree to be part of the work, running a millimeter layer of maple down the middle of the table. Here he also created unique desks of oak and elm to echo, in a totally modern way via the choice of wood, our building which dates from the early 17th century. Here he also constructed for our bespoke needs two long rows of lectern style shelves needed for our contract folders - functional and yet in keeping with our building. His works never lose sight of functionality but are works of art in themselves to be appreciated. We know at our office from the reaction of our many customers who visit us from all over the world how people react to Julian's work and it is always with awe and interest. The works we have done with Julian started in 2006 and have continued to the present.

Nick and Frank provided a professional and reliable service from start to finish, and were very easy to work with. Costs were clear from the start with no hidden extras on completion. Their work is to a very high standard and they obviously take pride in it. We are really pleased with the service they provided and the finished joinery items. We are very happy to recommend them.

From the outset we were very impressed by the attitude of Nailsea Electrical. They offered a high degree of professionalism in every department. There is an impressive range of appliances to choose from in their showroom and the designer (Zoe) discussed our vision of the new kitchen and came up with innovative ideas and sensible suggestions that led to approval given to a final design. Attention to detail and unit recommendations at the planning stage was paramount as was support throughout the project resulting in a stunning kitchen/ diner and utility room.
