City Kitchen Centre

We spent a number of months visiting numerous Kitchen companies and were unconvinced by their proposed solutions. By accident we passed City Kitchen and our impromtu visit turned out to be a masterstroke. I am a very fussy person who expects a high quality service and i was certainly not disappointed by the end to end service that we have received. Malcolm was so thorough and personable in his approach. He listened actively to our plans and made appropriate interventions all of which led to a fantastically though design; he has a keen eye for detail. He is fantastically supported by Melanie, his very "hands on wife", and it was clear to see that they are an excellent team, providing a sublime service to their customers. I was particularly impressed by Melanies ability to remove a room full of kitchen tiles!! Lee our fitter was exceptional and i could not recommend him higher. He is an excellent craftsman, and effortlessly fitted into our home at a time when there was significant disruption with the temporary loss of a Kitchen. He was extremely responsive to slight tweeks, and all his decsions that were away from the original plans, were always selflessly driven to improve the final kitchen design. Of course, none of the above would have be possible, without the meticulous Marian. She is a "tour de force" and has perfected the art of customer service. Her relentless approach is of considerable benefit to her customers: providing a level of confidence that is so rare nowadays. I am extremely grateful for the care and time she has afforded by my wife and I, unequivocally it has made a difference. I would highly recommend City Kitchen to anyone.

This is our third kitchen we have had designed by City Kitchen Centre. Our previous kitchen and all its appliances lasted 25 years of hard family life, a testament to the quality of the units used by the company. Enormous effort was given to accommodate our every wish for the kitchen and utility room, but tempered with practical advice to achieve a workable, uncluttered solution. City Kitchen Centre is owned & run by Malcolm & Melanie Collins who delivered a comprehensive service from initial planning to final fitting. In this instance the kitchen was fitted into a new extension. In previous properties we have owned they were able to maximise the potential of a pre-existing spaces by their careful attention to detail. Their Canterbury showroom, spread over two floors allowed us to view fixtures & fittings in situ including Neff appliances and a comprehensive range of worktops. This allowed us to visualise and fine tune the design to cater for our specific needs. Their friendly, professional service is highly recommended.

Having investigated many kitchen designs, certain features were important to me, namely: •Being able to interact when cooking so not facing walls when cooking •Not having any clutter on work surfaces •Having room to work and cook without worry I spent many happy weeks drawing and re-drawing my ideas trying to get a design that worked, and then by chance, whilst Christmas shopping in Canterbury, popped into City Kitchen Centre and met with Malcolm. It was an inspirational meeting and we ended up staying for a couple of hours. Martin’s years of experience soon found gaping holes with my designs, and flaws which would have resulted in an extremely poor kitchen design and installation. Over the next 6-8 weeks we worked Closely with City Kitchen Centre and with Malcom’s understanding of what I wanted to achieve, and his years of experience in kitchen design, a kitchen design was finally formed which not only flowed but was functional and practical and stylish. City Kitchen Centre project managed the installation from start to finish, without a single hiccup. Their recommendations for kitchen appliances were spot on, resulting in a kitchen that is beyond whatever we could have wished for. The associated pictures of our kitchen were taken in November 2020, some 2 years after the installation, and the kitchen still appears “As New”. We would not hesitate to recommend City Kitchen Centre and their installers to anyone embarking on a project such as ours.
