We recently had the pleasure of working with David from Cook & Baker again on a project of ours. David is extremely thorough with great attention to detail, which is needed when working on any project, especially larger ones. From the initial consultation David takes the time to understand needs and preferences, creating layouts that maximise space and functionality, whilst remaining aesthetically pleasing. Installation was very efficient with the fitter punctual and courteous, as well as being incredibly skilled. Every piece of cabinetry was aligned and installed securely. I would highly recommend them. Their combination of superb customer communication and service, quality products, at reasonable prices and expert installation, make them our go to kitchen supplier and fitter.

We are absolutely delighted with our new kitchen, David liaised with us every step of the way, and knew exactly what we wanted, also visiting us numerous times, making the whole process stress free. David ensures you know exactly what is happening and liaised with our builder to get this fitted on time, Daniel the fitter was also excellent, nothing is too much trouble. David is really helpful. He came to visit us numerous times before work commenced and was very flexible. We changed our mind a few times on several aspects of the project and David always accommodated all changes. He liaised with the builders and was on site to ensure the kitchen was exactly what we wanted. He communicated with us throughout and kept us informed of progress throughout. Word of mouth was how we came across Cook and Baker. We thought we'd go down the usual path of Magnet, Howdens etc. but were so pleased we decided to go with C&B! From the start to the finish, David was nothing but consultative - this is the 'value add' that is worth its weight in gold. We thought we were set on where and what we wanted our kitchen to look like but David flipped it all on its head and we have never been happier! He came to us with so much vision and ideas - thank you David! He made the final design seem effortless - we left all the hard work to him, knowing that he 'got' what we wanted - we knew we were in safe hands. When it came to the fitting, Danny was brilliant, really customer focused and a delight to have in the house for the week or so he was here! We had one glitch in the middle of the fit, we realised that the island was just a little too big and ultimately would not work for our family life. Danny was fantastic at listening and working with us to find the right solution. All in all - we wouldn't hesitate in recommending Cook & Baker - use with confidence!

From day 1 David came to our property and helped us to visualise our dream kitchen. He completely changed our mind on the layout and gave really practical advice. I can't recommend Cook & Baker Kitchens highly enough. From the first visit to start the design to the final day of fitting I could fault absolutely nothing. David is clearly knowledgeable and understands the needs of his customers. He designed the perfect kitchen that effectively utilised my limited space, using high quality materials that make my kitchen solid, good-looking and practical. Daniel, who fitted the kitchen, was pleasant, hard-working and skilled. On the first day of the fit David attended my home to communicate with my builders about the exact specification of the kitchen and to ensure that they understood the needs. He kept a close eye on the fitting throughout, which was done to a high standard and in a timely manner and kept me fully informed of how the work was progressing. I found the price to be reasonable for such good quality and David is clearly keen to ensure his customers remain happy with their new kitchens after the fit has been completed. I can't thank Cook & Baker Kitchens enough for their work, design, craftsmanship, communication, high quality or service. After seeing David's work locally we couldn't have been happier with the end result. David had a number of visits before work even began ensuring he knew what we wanted and also giving us great advice on what works well/ not so well. During the build he managed the timings with the builders which takes pressure off should there be any confrontation. Daniel the fitter was excellent, really thoughtful and also happy to offer advice when we asked. Kitchen has come in on time and bang on price as per quote as well. We would highly recommend.

We have had an extension that was completed october 2021 and some friends of ours had used Cook and Baker and they came recommended. David was very good with the design process and helped maximise the use of the space we have. Our build suffered from cost and time overruns due to changes in the price of materials but David was able deliver as quoted and it was fair and reasonable. His communication was also excellent. Even during the build he made regular visits to get the utilities and the other trades on track. The quality, price and fitting of the units are very good and we're really happy with the end result. The fitting did run over and we did have trouble getting the snagging sorted but thats not a big deal in the scheme of things. The finished kitchen is exactly what we want and at a reasonable price. We'd recommend David and Cook and Baker.

We had previously worked with David on a kitchen extension at a former house so had no hesitation using him again. David understood our needs and knew our tastes from the previous project. After getting numerous quotes for a new kitchen, I decided on Cook and Baker and I’m over the moon with the end result. David was a pleasure to deal with and showed a great deal of patience with my indecisiveness! Graham (the fitter) is the ultimate professional and really knows his stuff. I enjoyed having him around. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this business to my friends and family.

I can honestly say that David has saved our sanity. Towards the end of last year, and having been caught up in the obsession with revamping our home which was sweeping across the nation, my partner and I thought it was a great idea to purchase a second hand kitchen on Ebay - this had something to do with a lovely Aga being included. Left with a stack of units and Aga pieces in our kitchen, we found we were royally stuck. We were let down by numerous kitchen designers/fitters, who promised the earth then failed to turn up. Then we found David via the Houszz website. I really wasn't expecting to get a response, but David actually phoned me the next day, a Sunday, while he was walking his dog. He came out and told us straight we we wasting time and money with the second hand units. He provided us with a pictorial plan of what he could do for us. We decided to go with it but David was kind enough to ensure that some of the second hand doors and black granite were worked into the design. It is clear that David works tirelessly for his clients - he certainly did for us. His fitter Graham was fantastic - a real craftsman who would never take any shortcuts. Nothing was too much trouble. The units are of solid wood as are the doors, and painted in our choice of Farrow and Ball colours. We now have a fabulous kitchen for a very reasonable price - and would have no hesitation in recommending David.

His brilliant idea for a large pantry in my utility room was genius and he was helpful with deciding on sink sizes etc. Graham the actual fitter has such attention to detail and is extremely thorough, and the finished result is beautiful. We took on a large renovation in May 2020 and the reason we chose our builder was because of David. We knew we needed a team that would work well together and could take on all the aspects of the renovation. David was so enthusiastic and knowledgeable and we knew we would be in safe hands. He had a great relationship with them and really helped pushed the project forward. We visited the suppliers together and saw samples and he always gave great advice! Whilst we were on holiday he kept us in the loop with pictures and even where the rest of the house renovation was up to. We love our finished kitchen and get so many compliments! Even once the project was completed he’s still checking in to see if we are happy. We would 100% recommend him.

Cook And Baker Kitchen Design were in charge of designing and fitting a new kitchen in our recently extended semi-detached Victorian house. David managed the project and, from the start, he had a lot of useful advice which we took on board and are glad we did. He also managed to fit in everything that was physically (and aesthetically) possible so that we ended up with enough storage for our needs. Throughout the whole process, David kept us informed and paid regular visits in order to make sure that things were running smoothly. He even stepped in when there was the risk of a delay from the builders’ side and pressed on so schedules were kept. The budgeting was very transparent and the payments were made after each completed stage. Graham, the fitter did an excellent job. We were really impressed by his attention to detail, his meticulous approach and his can-do attitude - qualities which are surprisingly hard to come by, from our experience. We have enjoyed working with David and Graham very much. It was one of the few hassle-free projects we’ve had since we started the extending/renovating work on our house and it was dealt with in a very professional, courteous and friendly manner. From first meeting/design (of which there were a couple. Having initially said I wanted a change in the kitchen layout, I eventually settled on one that was very similar to my original layout) nothing was too much trouble. Return contact to questions etc was prompt/courteous and took into consideration my persoanl circumstances and concerns. Indeed, I have had cause to contact Cook And Baker post installation and their attitude of willingness to help continues-unlike a lot of companies that seem to forget the customer once they have been paid!.Obviously, having a kitchen fitted means a lot of disruption to the househould but every care was taken to protect other areas of the property-eg when items were being delivered. Although fitting was not the quickest, this was due to the fitter being meticulous in his preparation of units prior to fitting and solutions were found to anomolies within the property. All carcasses are full units ie have a front, sides and back. The materials used feel quality products and I felt under no pressure to accept the estimate initally or choose the most expensive option eg appliances/worktop type etc. That said, their estimate was certainly very competative. The company came via recommendation from a close family member and I would certainly recommend them to anybody considering using them.

David was excellent from start to finish. He helped turn our vague ideas from magazines into a stunning kitchen that works. He wasn't pushy and very patient, advising us on the many decisions, from units and worktop to tap and cupboard handles. His communication was excellent at all times. His fitter Graham is a true craftsman with excellent attention to detail. You could tell that he wanted to do an excellent job which he did.

David did a great job right from the start helping to design and project manage our kitchen and utility room fit. He allowed us to realise our ideas whilst making sure the practicalities of the fit were also considered. His communication was excellent and nothing was too much trouble. He worked closely with the other contractors on site to make sure everything was in place ahead of the fit and that everything came together as planned. The price was very reasonable and the few snags we had were resolved quickly.

David @ Cook & Baker from the early stages from planning to taking me round to suppliers, showed a great deal of professionalism and went above and beyond on the customer service side, without being over pushy on the sales pitch which was refreshing. David understood straightaway what I wanted to achieve with the space I had available for the kitchen and provided exceptional design advice/options, including assisting with colours given the natural light coming into the kitchen area. We then chose the specific cupboard design, granite and lighting which were all delivered on time in readiness for the agreed fitting date. Graham the fitter was fantastic who had great attention to detail with the final fitting and was an absolute workaholic. Cost was competitive with other providers of top-drawer kitchens. We absolutely love our new kitchen!! The design was exactly what we had in mind but David gave a few suggestions which we hadn’t thought of and it turned out even better. The fitting was fast (about 3-4 days as it’s a small kitchen) and the lads were really tidy and respectful of the rest of our house. To be honest we could have paid double the price elsewhere and not got the care, service and design ideas from Cook & Baker - I definitely recommend speaking to David if you want a great kitchen at a fair price! - Laura & Brett
