Once we also factored in the quality of the product and the fact that they would project manage the whole installation, it was an easy decision to make. Ridgeway offer a no-obligation design consultation. During the time we took deciding on our final choices (some several months) there was no pressure to move forward from Sarah (the Design Consultant we dealt with). She allowed us to take our time to think about the decisions we were making. I cannot speak more highly of Dan (the Fitter). The standard of his work and attention to detail was exceptional (and something that the other Trades commented on when they came to do their bits). The way he overcame various issues was certainly not achieved by taking the easiest or quickest option. He was helpful with suggestions and his good humour made him a pleasure to have in the house for 6 weeks. He communicated so well that each day we knew exactly what was done and what was happening next. Dan made us feel that he cared about our kitchen as much as we did. Brendon (the Installation Manager) visited the site regularly to check progress and make sure everything was as we wanted it. He also responded quickly and clearly to our questions and nothing was too much trouble. Sarah also visited several times during the installation and the whole team from Ridgway were personable and so lovely to work with. Our project involved knocking down a wall between the kitchen and dining room and replacing everything (including the ceiling). They laid the flooring and organised for the decoration. It was quoted as a 6-week project and they delivered exactly on time. It was left clean and tidy – all we had to do was move our things back in. We are so delighted with the finished result – it is faultless and the whole experience was amazing.”

“We converted a pottery into a home, so the space designated for the kitchen had previously housed kilns. Rob walked in, took one look at the space, and knew instantly how to maximise it. We were about to get it very wrong by creating a new wall in front of the sloping bedrock, whereas Rob cleverly utilised the available space by insetting the cabinets into the wall from a workable height (see pics). The design worked extremely well. I can honestly say that the kitchen inspired me to cook. Previously, cooking was a chore; something I had to do and definitely not something I wanted to do. It was a revelation to experience a well designed, extremely useable kitchen. I especially liked having self-cleaning ovens and a large bench top space. The kitchen is now eight years old and a tradesman who recently visited commented, "It's amazing, it looks the same as it did when you first had it fitted." So it's been a sound investment both gastronomically and financially!”
