We love our kitchen and would highly recommend Koivu. Laura, the designer, is knowledgeable and patient, Keren, efficient and generous with her time and Doug & James are exceptional craftsmen and fitters as well as being great company! Our kitchen is practical, thoughtful, fun and stylish. Having finally finished a full house renovation, Koivu are our no 1 recommended company from the whole build. Their attention to detail and customer service far exceeded any other tradesperson or business.

Couldn't be happier with Doug, Keren and Laura at Koivu. The customer service was exceptional from start to finish. They were recommended to me by a friend and we had an informal chat to start with about how they work. The designer Laura has an incredible ability to understand in depth what you are wanting from your kitchen and methodically come up with the solution over long phonecalls, referencing the gallery on their website and photos of your kitchen. She thought of so many things I would never have considered and completely prioritised what meant most to me. Due to the extent of other house works we needed to adjust things considerably to bring it into our budget and Keren was unbelievably helpful coming up with suggestions and edits to reduce costs. We discovered much later on some issues regarding the location of a gas meter that I had overlooked but Doug was so flexible and helpful trying to work around things and problem-solve to make sure I was getting what I wanted out of the kitchen. The finished result of our kitchen is the star of our home and has completely changed how we live and interact and host. The workmanship is impeccable and the storage solutions mean that we have more storage space than we are currently using which I never expected for the size and awkward shape of our kitchen. Would highly recommend to all. There is no way we would have even half a good a kitchen if we had gone with one of the usual kitchen companies.

Throughout the process we were really impressed with Koivu and absolutely love our kitchen. I'd researched quite a few different kitchen companies and we knew we wanted a birch plywood kitchen. From the first conversation with Laura I felt confident that our needs and the space available was going to be taken care of in the design of the kitchen. Doug (co-owner) fitted the kitchen, which they do say is optional, but I don't know why you'd choose not to. His expertise and care are apparent in the fitting and he won't stop until everything is properly done, something I don't think many kitchen fitters would do. The quality and craftmanship of the kitchen is superb. Everything just works, and everything makes sense. From our pull out corner cupboard, to the cupboard above the fridge and the soft close kick door under the oven, the utility we get from the kitchen now is just superb. And the layout the Laura suggested by moving the fridge has really opened it up and has meant the space is a lot more accessible for us. We just need to finish our tiling then we'll be all set to show it off to everyone too :)

We really wanted a bespoke plywood kitchen but didn’t think this would be possible due to cost. We went to the Koivu workshop and were so impressed by Doug and Keren. We knew that we wanted to go with Koivu and we were not disappointed! The design process is brilliant - we had the opportunity to see the designer’s kitchen and discuss what we wanted in detail. We had several opportunities to refine the design and discuss different options. Everyone is so flexible and helpful - we felt very well looked after throughout the process. The end result is even better than we had hoped - so practical, aesthetically pleasing and flows really well. We would 100% recommend Koivu and will be spreading the word!

I couldn’t be more pleased with my new kitchen. Koivu provided excellent service throughout. They were patient and attentive, using their wealth of experience and expertise to guide me through the planning process and help me make decisions from the placing of the bins to the layout of the cutlery drawer inserts. The kitchen and utility room look lovely. The craftsmanship is clearly evident. The work was carried out over the course of a few weeks due to supply chain delays that are universal but I was always left with a clean and tidy and useable kitchen. The attention to detail makes such a difference. Friendly team and reliable.

We first saw a Koivu kitchen when our self build was still a dream, but we knew immediately that it was the right kitchen for our house. That was three years ago and everything just got better and better. Dealing with Keren and Doug has been sheer joy - nothing is too much trouble for them and they are endlessly flexible and imaginative. The end result is a triumph; everything where I wanted it, totally practical and stunningly beautiful to look at. I cannot recommend them highly enough, on all counts.

Koivu did a brilliant job on my kitchen. I found the planning part a little nerve wracking since it's nearly all done at a distance, but it all came together with ease in the end. The kitchen is well made, with much attention to detail. Doug and James were a brilliant installation team, working in a highly organised, efficient and tidy manner with minimal disruption in the house. They were so calm and happy in their work that it was a fantastic end to the stress of the overall renovation. There were inevitably a few minor things that needed sorting out but they did this all fairly quickly and without a fuss. Thank you!

Koivu provided a brilliant job from beginning to end. Nothing was too much trouble, the job was finished to a very high specification. I cannot recomend them highly enough.

Koivu have been an absolute pleasure to work with, giving excellent design advice and also lots of recommendations and support in selecting the right equipment from hobs to sinks and bins. The finished product is a very high standard with meticulous attention to detail including incorporating the lighting and solving tricky problems of building around chimney breasts. As this was part of a larger renovation project, our programme changed continuously due to the impact of Covid on various other parts of the work but Koivu were extremely professional and understanding, working closely with our builder to ensure that the installation was coordinated.
