MATRIX DESIGN

Having worked with Graham many times over the years, both as a colleague and as a client (twice!)... I am more than happy to highly recommend. Graham is a pleasure to work with, highly professional from beginning to end taking great time to really listen to lifestyle requirements before helping to turn them into beautiful, practical and happy realities.

I love the kitchen that Graham has designed for me! It’s both beautiful and practical, and I really couldn’t ask for more! Throughout the design process he always listened to everything I had to say, and worked with me to take it through multiple iterations until we arrived at a design that I was completely happy with, and which is completely sympathetic to the character of the building and to the rest of my home. He was great at problem-solving, and very patient. His attention to detail is also impressive, and everything from catches and handles to the dimensions of the cutlery compartments was considered so that everything is just right! The quality and finish of the cabinetry, the worktops, the appliances are all superb. Throughout both the design and build, communication and efficiency from the whole Matrix team was excellent. They were very responsive, and great at keeping me updated. The installation went smoothly, due to very detailed planning, and an installation team who were careful and quite obviously took a lot of pride in their work. They were also really polite, tidy, and nice to have around. All round a great experience!

Premium prices, inferior service. When we initially worked with Matrix Kitchens on the design of our kitchen we were excited. However, during the design process Graham was trying to pressure us in to accepting a design which HE wanted and wasn't listening to what WE wanted. Eventually - after weeks of this - he conceded! Yes that's right, we are grateful we were allowed to have the simpler design which we wanted. Once the work started with our old kitchen demolished, and the new one being installed, it became apparent that Graham and his team had made multiple calculation errors, costing us A LOT of time (months of delays), more money, stress and inconvenience. He also hadn't ordered some of the required fittings in time for the actual kitchen install, but for some unknown reason, waited until the kitchen was practically finished to order this and then had the audacity to blame covid and Brexit! Had he ordered these parts in time (as per the plans), then this wouldn't have been an issue. He had also made some design changes on the plans, which were NOT as discussed and agreed. He never once owned up to his mistakes, but would always blame us or find another excuse, and getting a response from him or his team, could sometimes take weeks. A couple of times he changed the time and date when his kitchen installer would be working, and this impacted our general contractor (who had to do the electrics, plumbing etc). He didn't seem to care about the impact this had on the contractor. Graham had our money (you have to pay before he will start any work), so there was nothing in it for him to ensure we are happy customers. We are mostly happy with the design of our kitchen, but feel we had to battle with Graham to get it the way we wanted (and we had to pay more money to fix HIS mistakes, some of which were from him not listening to how we wanted our kitchen BEFORE the kitchen was ordered and installed, other errors were in his calculations). I wouldn't recommend Matrix Kitchens. It's just not worth the money or hassle.

I was drawn to a kitchen design by Matrix Design in a magazine and loved their ability to mix materials and provide a personalised look with character- not just 'on trend' lookalikes. We worked with lovely designer, Jaimee, who listens and manages to accommodate differing needs and wants - always with a 'can do' attitude and attention to detail. Minor issues once the kitchen was in use were sorted promptly and without argument. We have a kitchen which meets our functional and aesthetic needs and we love it. We highly recommend Jaimee, Graham and team.

We had a fantastic experience working with Matrix Design from design phase through to implementation. Graham works with patience, professionalism and listens closely to the functional and aesthetic wishes of his clients to create kitchens that feel truly personal and work wonderfully. We are now a year in to our amazing bespoke kitchen and still love it every day.

Graham from Matrix designed and installed my kitchen a year ago and I couldn't be happier. The fitters are excellent and very professional. Graham even enquire after a year to make sure everything is working fine in the kitchen and I am sure he will come back if needed. My kitchen is a joy to cook in now. Highly recommended.

Graham managed the design and installation of our extensive kitchen. We found him to be very creative and innovative and a s a result the design and layout of our kitchen was much better than originally planned. There was innovative use of space and materials that created the dramatic effect that we wanted. During the work Graham demonstrated the willingness to review and adapt to the numerous changes resulting from an evolving scope of work in the rest of the house and without exception he accommodated and improved on our thinking and ideas. The installation was of a very high quality and we were kept informed of progress all the way; the installers worked well with our builders. After sales service was excellent and only recently Graham helped out with a replacement part that had been damaged. I can heartily recommend Graham and the team at Matrix and in fact I already have passed his details on to friends.

Graham and the team at Matrix are my go to company of choice they excel in both design and supply and fit, I can always rely on them to compliment my designs and create something that is just "a little more special" with understood elegance and a love of mixing materials to compliment each other.

We used Graham Barnard from Matrix for the design and installation of our kitchen (Summer, 2015). We could not have been happier with the experience from start to finish. Graham is an extremely personable and likeable individual - he listened to what we wanted, and didn't want, and created a design which surpassed our expectations. We gave Graham a very clear budget, which he kept with in, but did not sacrifice the look or the effectiveness of the kitchen. His showroom is fantastic, and enables you to see various designs, furniture and equipment, to aid your decision making process. As happy as we were with Graham during the design and installation process, we were equally impressed with his after care service. Any niggling issues, big or small, were dealt with effectively, efficiently and without fuss.
