Neil Milligan Kitchens and Bedrooms

Choosing a new kitchen isn't easy, and if you're anything like us, you'll spend a long time researching, reviewing and getting quotes. We'd seen Neil and Alchemy Design on the Siemens Website and having looked at his website we decided to get him in for a quote. His was one of 3 quotes, including one of the big kitchen companies on the market. We were pleasantly surprised by the competitive price of his quote, particularly given the bespoke and high end quality product. After Neil showed us several of his completed projects in detail. we knew that we wanted to go with him. The eye for detail and perfectionism in his work was clearly evident. Neil was full of ideas and recommendations on design choices and layouts, that nobody else had though of or considered and with a little bouncing of ideas between us, we came up with the perfect layout. Installation was much smoother then we anticipated and the dust and disruption was kept to a minimum. Having had different tradesmen in to renovate our bathroom, Neil recommend a team who were like a breath of fresh air! Timely, friendly, hardworking and most importantly very highly skilled. The work completed exactly on time and the end product was out of this world. We have no doubt that we would not have been able to get the same kitchen through anyone else. It is completely bespoke, allowing us to maximise the full potential of our kitchen. From start to finish Neil and his team were fantastic. We could not be happier with our kitchen and can not recommend Alchemy Design highly enough."

This kitchen project involved knocking two rooms into one with internal load bearing walls being removed, walls and ceilings re plastered, along with central heating and electrical supply modifications. The tasks was undertaken and project managed in a professional and timely manner, Le Medida being the prime contractor and coordinator. The end result is exactly as designed and the quality of work is of the highest order. I have the greatest respect for the Le Medida team from design with Neil and supply chain management from Sarah, and not forgetting the guys at the coal face Danny and Lee would worked tirelessly to complete the kitchen on time and on budget culminating in a stunning result.

I popped into La Medida just for a sneaky look with no definate decision to purchase a new kitchen, my plan was to have my existing one painted, that soon changed. Within only a few hours I had picked my kitchen, someone had been out to measure and give me a quote and an installation date had been put in the diary. The service was fantastic, the guys who did the fitting were delightful, tidy and very professional, everything from start to finish was handled with immaculate precision and I am thrilled!

Following a flooded kitchen due to a hot water pipe burst which created a sauna in the utility room thus damping both the utility and kitchen units we went to see Neil at La Medida and was extremely impressed by his professionalism and his approach to designing our replacement kitchen and utility. The choice of finishes and colours very superb and we managed to choose a scheme which fitted in with the appliances we wanted to keep. The suggestions on how to improve on the previous kitchen design have made the rooms more usable. The workmanship of the joiners is excellent and the finished result has given us a very modern kitchen and utility. The few problems we had along the way were solved very efficiently and I would certainly recommend La Medida to my friends and family. Thank you Neil and your team.

We wanted an open plan family experience, we decided to remove a couple of walls after chatting with Neil to gain this. He craftily managed to sneak the fridge under the stairs and gave us the open plan look that we desired but hadn't found a solution too. The builders, plasterers did a great job while we were away and Dustin the fitter was steady away and very particular about dong a good job. We thought we knew what we wanted but the design was better than we imagined. Communication was good throughout the project. We liked it so much that we have referred next door and they are having a kitchen too

We are really thrilled with our new kitchen. The design done by Marc Jessop was brilliant and Lydia the surveyor was excellent and certainly knows her stuff. All the contractors were great especially the kitchen fitter Danny, nothing was too much trouble and he kept us informed every step of the way. All the staff in the showroom were more than helpful. Our first impressions of La Medida were great, we saw Marc in the showroom and made an appointment to see him and we were so happy with it, after being let down by a previous company Marc got us back on track and we had it sorted. Our favourite element of our new kitchen has to be the worktop, our old worktops were so tired but the new one is lovely and it always looks clean. We feel that Damien really went out of his way for us, he stayed late one day to make sure we were done and sorted the same day. We had researched a few places after being let down and we decided on La Medida and truly believe we did get the best kitchen for the cost. Overall it was a good experience, all the lads turned up on time and were pleasant, Anton was very clean and didn’t mind being leapt on by the dogs either.

From the start we had a very good impression from in the showroom and from Neil., we felt happy with the atmosphere, very welcoming and friendly. the best parts of our kitchen are that I feel like I have gained worktop, curves and an island, which I didn’t believe was possible, but I absolutely love it and had written off the possibility of having an island until Neil designed it into our kitchen. The design is really practical, it has become two rooms instead of one.’’ The fitter Dustin was brilliant, I would like to commend him on his workmanship and his manner our experience with La Medida was brilliant, any problems or issues, Lydia and Sharyn dealt with quickly.

We decided to revamp our kitchen and build an extension (instead of a conservatory)....best idea ever....thanks M&J! M&J project managed this 'revamp' from start to finish arranging for the craftsmen (kitchen fitters, builders, plumber, plasterer, electrician...etc) to come when required. This was a great idea...as we both work full time and have very little experience of building extensions / kitchens! Took all the hassle away from us....they have some great ideas and will spend time with you...nothing is too much and I've learnt that there is no such thing as a 'stupid question'. They offered great options on design and came up with a curved design....which looks lovely. There were obstacles along the way (especially as we live in an old cottage!) but M&J dealt with these quickly, efficiently and in a professional manner. The quality of the kitchen is excellent and the craftsmanship first class. The 'revamp' has completely changed the feel of the house...we love it! We spend most of our time in this wonderful space. Wouldn't change a thing!

We are extremely pleased with our new kitchen and the service provided by Milligan & Jessop. From the very start we were very impressed with the ideas put forward to us in the planning stage and Milligan & Jessop listened to us regarding our requirements. We found all the tradesmen who were involved in fitting the kitchen to be friendly and polite and the work they did was to a very high standard.
