Provençale is a kitchen studio with a difference. The difference being that all our appliances are live, so you can test drive your hob before you buy!
Ian has been involved in the kitchen industry for 25 years, initially as a fitter and for the last decade as a designer and project manager. We are happy to design and supply or just install your kitchen, or we can undertake a complete makeover with all the building and fitting work.
Meeting with our clients in person gives us a real insight into their lifestyle and kitchen requirements. Come into our Swadlincote showroom to see our varied displays and our cookery demonstrations from local chefs! You may even get to meet Ella, Ian's Goldendoodle.

The term 'excellent service' can often be used flippantly in today's internet world but without doubt, this is what we received from Ian & his team.
We undertook major renovation work on our 1930's property and as part of that process we happened on Ian's details on Houzz. From our very first meeting, Ian stood out from all other designers/suppliers we had met previously. Ian's knowledge, attention to detail and the creative ideas he brought to the table were on a completely different level with nothing ever being too much trouble. From the moment we met Ian, we knew we were on to a winner when we saw the level of detail he went into specific to the symmetrical layout, the clear lines of sight, the centering of wall cupboards etc, Ian thinks of everything right down to the view of our garden when sitting down for your breakfast.
The major building works were already contracted to a third party builder when we first met with Ian, therefore in the first instance Ian was working off a theoretical floor plan only, from this starting point, Ian produced some amazing ideas including utilising an old fire place & chimney to house our amazing cooker wall. In truth, Ian's own building work expertise was invaluable as the builders we had contracted were partial to a shortcut or two. Even though this construction work was not in Ian's remit, he frequently visited us during the process and his eye for detail ensured we made it through the major works unscathed and more importantly, without build compromises that we would not have spotted without his knowledge & advice.
Once Ian and his team moved in to fulfil his amazing Hacker kitchen design, the installation process was seamless, slick and not a £1 over budget. Our next project is our somewhat forlorn bathroom and there is only one phone call we will be making and that will be to Ian.
In summary, if you are looking for the kitchen of your dreams, Ian and his team will not let you down. Simply superb and I cant ever thank him enough. We would recommend in a heart beat.

I have had an extension and remodel of the kitchen and dining area and I used Provencale to supply and fit my new kitchen.
I was advised well regarding the best use of space and options available to me based on my requirements and the look and feel I wanted to achieve.
The kitchen fitting was done ahead of schedule and the service was always professional. I was kept up to date and well informed throughout the process.
The new space looks fantastic and the kitchen is complimented by all. It is a fantastic social space which I enjoy cooking in.
I would not hesitate to recommend Provencale.

Ian Philliskirk (Provençale) fitted a new 'Laura Ashley' kitchen for us in July 2019. From the start Ian was excellent in his advice, reliability, transparency and level of detail. After a home visit, we also visited him in his shop in Swadlincote (Derbyshire) to view some ideas and look at the design.
His small team from the Plasterer, to the Electrician, and the Fitter/Carpenter (Andy) were all brilliant, and their level of detail and workmanship has been second to none.
Ian also project managed the whole installation, keeping me informed regularly of any minor delays or slight adjustments, so there were no shocks or surprises.
Clearly this wasn't a 'cheap' kitchen, but sometimes its worth paying that little bit more for a better quality product, service and peace of mind. I would have no issue in highly recommending Pronvencale.

We had our kitchen done by Ian and his team and from start to finish we were impressed by his knowledge ,care and professionalism . Nothing was too much trouble for Ian and he made sure that the whole project ran smoothly from start to finish . Ian made sure things such as the temporary Re siting of the washing machine was done on the same day . This is so important when you are still functioning as family within the home . Ian really was the epitome of professionalism . He also liased with other trades that we had organised ensuring that this was smooth and trouble free for all involved . We are beyond delighted with the finished project and would unreservedly recommend him to anyone who needs their kitchen , bedroom or bathroom doing . Well done to Ian and his team .

After moving into our new home in May 2017 we set upon finding a kitchen company/designer to help us with planning, designing and installing a modern contemporary kitchen. Initially we as most people went straight to the high street and reviewed the usual big players, however we were left wanting for our blank canvas to be better used.
So we found Provencale on Houzz and booked a meeting with Ian to visit our house. From the very first time of meeting Provencale we knew that he was an expert in his knowledge and was able to fully differentiate Provencale from other larger suppliers. He suggested some innovative and modern ideas including to build a part-hidden cabinet wall (see pictures) which now is the show piece of our final kitchen, we thought at the time inspirational.
Over the next few meetings we started to build a relationship with Ian and i felt a trust forming with Provencale which is so important when going through such a big project in your new house. Ian did not try and rush our decision and was meticulous in every detail ensuring that our design was exactly what we wanted. We opted in the end for a made to measure German kitchen from Hacker with Siemens appliances to which the quality is far above other kitchens and appliances we reviewed and we would highly recommend them.
From placing the order to finished installed kitchen Ian and his team were able to work with our project team keeping us informed, on time and within the set out budget. I will also say that any delivery issues that were found from suppliers were quickly rectified and fixed to a high standard - there was no leaving us in the dark at any time and this gave us great comfort.
My advice is to meet with Ian and his team and give him your vision, creativity and idea playbook and let him make your dream a reality as they really can. We are so pleased with our new kitchen, Ian created us a space which we as a family are now able to share more time together and enjoy our new home fully.

Ian designed our kitchen for our new extension based on plans alone. He came up with ideas that we had never considered. The work was carried out to an exceptional standard and within the expected time frame despite some on site design changes. We are absolutely thrilled with the whole kitchen including the high spec appliances and storage features. Definitely recommended.

ian designed out dream kitchen on a very tight timescale coupled with the fact we were located in Wiltshire and in the process of purchasing our new home in Derbyshire. Despite these challenges, we met with Ian and he offered excellent practical advice. What may look good may not really work well for you as an individual or family. Other than a computer design we did not see our kitchen until the day we moved into our new home. The kitchen is breathtaking and beautiful. It has been designed to be the perfect environment to cook and entertain in. Every person who has visited has commented on the quality, design and just how good it looks. Ian supported with other very minor issues after fitting was complete and the level of customer service is excellent.
Ian and Provencale are excellent value for money and we would encourage anyone currently considering a new kitchen to contact Ian. You will not be disappointed.

Used Provencale for a high end kitchen design and fit on a new home. Delighted with the end result and came in on time and budget.
Ian also went over and above by advising on water pressure and underfloor heating issues. He actually took this over and dealt with the builders on our behalf. Extremely grateful for his expertise in this area. No hesitation in recommending. Kitchen still looks amazing 5 years down the line.

When we decided to renovate/remodel our cottage there was really only one person/company who we felt comfortable and confident to complete this. Ian and his team took us from initial consultation through to survey, plans, structural engineering and local planning consent. Once consent was granted Ian managed the whole build, providing friendly and professional tradesmen, consulting on changes as the build progressed to help us attain the result we required. The work is ongoing but the results to date are stunning. We have the house we've always wanted and we have come to consider Ian and his team members of the family. There was so many options in terms of kitchen suppliers, all said they could do this or that, so it was hard to see the wood for the trees. But when we finally made our choice, it was naturally influenced by cost, however this isn't an everyday purchase for us and really wanted someone to project manage the process. Being kept informed at every stage of the build proved priceless. There were no surprises in terms of hidden costs, the kitchen was fitted on time and to the highest quality. Delighted to recommend Ian and Provencale.
