Silke by Urban Interior

My experience with Urban Interior and SILKE by Urban Interior has been highly disappointing. Over several months, we sought a replacement for a defective Villeroy & Boch toilet seat, but customer support was insufficient. Despite providing all requested documentation and following up multiple times, including initiating a warranty claim, our requests were often met with delays, lack of accountability, and minimal communication from the company. Attempts to contact the manufacturer, Villeroy & Boch, directly were unsuccessful as they directed us back to the retailer, Urban Interior. In the end, after exhausting all options and receiving no satisfactory response, we had to escalate the matter to the Small Claims Court. The lack of urgency and customer care from Urban Interior and SILKE by Urban Interior, in this case, was frustrating and disappointing. I cannot recommend them based on this experience, and I urge potential customers to consider other options.

Sandy and Laura are the friendliest and most knowledgeable Kitchen people we found, and we looked far and wide. We worked closely together, in great detail to come up with our perfect kitchen. No question was too silly and the accommodated all our needs. They were also able to offer original suggestions and design ideas that we hadn’t thought of. That’s good service. The products are very high quality, the finish is lovely and we have no complaints. Not only are they a high-end outfit, but the prices were not as high as you would think by looking at their showroom and previous products. So – great quality products, excellent service, fantastic value. Would recommend to anyone getting a new kitchen!

Silke Kitchens were amazing from start to finish. We had an initial consultation and the ideas shared by them were amazing. They are not pushy unlike other suppliers and really approachable. They deal in really high quality kitchens (Leicht brand) and was very pleased with the quality of the kitchen and delivery of the kitchen. They work towards the budget you have and very flexible in meeting budget requirements. Designing the kitchen was very easy and fun with them and they are super responsive. Their after care service is also great as they will ensure that anything defective and/or faulty is highlighted to their suppliers as soon as possible. Overall great guys to work with and great quality kitchen and great responsiveness and great after care service too! you must go with them! 100 stars overall!

From our first visit to the Silke showroom, we knew this was the only place that we wanted to get our kitchen from. Sandy was very personable and helpful from the outset; he is extremely knowledgeable and we really liked the fact that Silke focus solely on Leicht, the brand we had our heart set on. We did visit a couple of other showrooms but once we quickly decided that Silke Kitchens' style and way of doing business was right for us, we started the whole design process. Sandy and Jordan were brilliant to work with - they combined our personal tastes with their own suggestions and creative ideas to eventually achieve a layout/design that we all loved. Of course, the whole process involved multiple iterations and tweaks along the way but nothing was too much trouble for Sandy and Jordan. They worked with our builders to ensure everything was perfect and were flexible on timelines, wherever possible. The level of customer service was outstanding with Jordan and/or Sandy always being available to answer questions, to field concerns and to provide regular updates. The advice on appliances was also spot on and as we hadn't previously considered Siemens appliances, we are very grateful for the recommendations that the guys provided. If you are looking for good honest people to remodel and supply your kitchen, look no further. They know what they're doing and when things don't quite go to plan, there are no feeble excuses, just a willingness to take responsibility and fix the problem. It's worth mentioning that the kitchen fitter (Richard) showed incredible workmanship and skill when fitting our kitchen and takes upmost pride in his work. My wife and I built up a really good relationship with Sandy and Jordan through the project and we really could not be happier with our new kitchen; it is perfect. Thank you!

My experience with Sandy Jalali and Jordan Torrano of Silke Kitchens was seamless and hassle free from planning till execution . We’ve just had our dream kitchen installed thanks to the professional, experienced and friendly team at Silke Kitchens. Sandy and Jordan - thank you! Sandy’s background in engineering and attention to detail, throughout the whole process, has ensured our kitchen looks and works beautifully. He was able to cleverly increase our storage space without compromising the design or flow of the kitchen. We were able to tweak the design until we were absolutely happy and were never met with impatience or made to feel rushed. The preparation work was thorough. After the initial measuring up Sandy took the time to meet my builder to discuss the plans and returned again during installation. Richard, who installed the kitchen is an absolute perfectionist and did an amazing job to overcome issues with our old Edwardian walls and sloping floor. He was punctual and worked long hours to ensure a swift installation. Sandy’s excellent humour has made our kitchen journey very enjoyable and we would totally recommend Silke kitchens to anyone.

Overall very happy. We had some minor complications which were my fault entirely. Measure twice, folks! Sandy and the team were very accommodating though, and were able to make good on my mistake. Now have a finished kitchen I am ecstatic to show off to friends and family. I haven't told them yet, it's a surprise.

From now on Silke will always be my first choice. I approached them mid last year to put something together for a property development that I was managing, and as boring as this sounds everything went smoothly. I have been passing the Silke Kitchens showroom in Hendon Central for months on my way to work, and would often look through the window in awe at their displays. Finally in November I was ready to take the plunge, and despite having a fairly limited budget Sandy (the owner) was very helpful in designing something beautiful that also doesn't break the bank. Our kitchen was designed and installed by SIlke Kitchens and we also purchased our appliances through them. Seena and Sandy listened to our requirements and designed a kitchen which met our needs. They visited the property many times as the kitchen area was being built to ensure the planned kitchen would fit in the newly built space, including a last minute re-design of the utility area when plumbing would not allow the original plan. Nothing was ever too much trouble and Seena, Sandy or Jordan were always at the end of a phone or email if I had any questions. We love our new kitchen - it functions really well and looks fantastic. I cannot fault on the design, order and delivery of the kitchen that we purchased for Silke - they came and designed the kitchen (free of charge unlike other suppliers), went through the designs and the detail order sheets before we signed and paid the deposit. The units are of high quality and were very pleased with the supply and fitting of the worktop (Dekton) we chose.

I needed a replacement door (a chip on the glass rim accidentally caused by my son) for my beautiful Leicht high end kitchen that was fitted two years ago. I emailed several retailer dealerships - only to receive grim reports, with ludicrous prices attached. Seena from Silke Kitchen, however, gallantly came to my rescue. He and his brother, Sandy, took it upon themselves personally to approach Leicht, keeping me constantly in the loop by copying me into their email correspondence, and came up with a much discounted price for me. Seena and Sandy were charming to deal with, completely professional, and the end result is that I now have my replacement door safely in hand, in record time. I can wholeheartedly recommend Silke Kitchens – my dealings with them from start to finish have been delightful, and they’ve gone ‘the extra mile’ for me. One happy customer!
