“Our company purchased vinyl blinds from Stoneside Blinds approximately a year ago. Abbey was fantastic explaining the blinds and helped with my selection of which would be best for our windows. Once the blinds were ready they had the installer come and our windows looked fabulous. we did have an issue recently, I contacted Stoneside and they took care of it with out any issues. “We had no idea how to treat the windows in our new living room. Privacy was an important issue since our condo faces right at our neighbors windows, but we like having a lot of sunlight in our home. Measure the window accurately to ensure the curtains are the right size and length, considering whether you prefer floor-length or sill-length curtains. Select curtain fabrics based on light-blocking abilities, durability, and ease of cleaning.
In general, your curtains width should be double the width of your windows. For length, this depends on if you want floor length, sill length curtains or below sill. For sill length curtains, they should sit 1cm above the windowsill. Below length curtains generally sit around 15cm under the sill. For floor length curtains, ensure there is at least a 1cm gap between them and the floor. If your window has a radiator underneath it, the curtains should stop around 2-3cm above the radiator to avoid heat being absorbed by the curtain.
Simply measure from where you want your blinds to start (the rail), to where you want your blinds to finish. Add 10-15 cms to this to prevent light bleed. To ensure your blinds fit correctly, take measurements at 3 equal points across your window and use the longest size.
