AGI Landscapes

Ian is an artist. We commissioned him to make plans for our garden and what he has done is no less than wizardry! He managed to take our random wishlist and likes into consideration and turn it into something we didn't know we needed. It is absolutely beautiful! Ian is so polite, and is a genuine craftsman with his vision and creativity. I'd recommend getting a garden plan by Ian to anyone, it really does give you a different perspective and help you see your space in a whole new way!

Ian interpreted our requirements spectacularly. We had no idea what to do with a huge space at the end of our huge garden, and he listened to us and converted our thoughts into fabulous ideas. The plans were not as detailed as those we had for a previous project, and at times some guess work was required, but overall we were very happy with the design. Ian is maybe a victim of his own success, as there was a distinct lack of communication and a long delay from the initial contact to receipt of the plans - 5 weeks before he could visit us and another 7 weeks before we received the plans. He maybe needs to say no sometimes. Can’t fault the design though.

We enjoyed the process of replanning our garden. Ian was very knowledgeable about suitable plants and took a lot of trouble producing a detailed and accurate plan of the garden showing his suggestions for hard and soft landscaping, and a separate planting plan. We felt he had listened to us and our needs and then came back with detailed proposals which we could pass on to a landscape firm for costing. He came up with ideas we hadn't t even thought of and that is what we were looking for! Thank you Ian.

Highly recommend Ian for his design services. Had tried others, but Ian was the one that listened to the brief properly, and came back with very clear and detailed designs on a fairly large project. His understanding of plants is also outstanding - highly recommend you use Ian for planting plans also.

From the initial telephone conversation, to the on-site consultation and presentation of design drawings, AGI Landscapes were both very professional and creative. They understood and responded to our initial thinking about our garden design, using their creative design skills to improve upon those ideas and turn them into a practical build plan. We would recommend them to anyone.

We contacted Ian as we have a large garden space at the front, sides and rear of our property but it was poorly laid out, no cohesion between the spaces and on various levels. We asked Ian to create layout and planting plans to overcome these issues and to incorporate a wish list of requirements that we had considered including a rill, pond and wildlife area. He has come up trumps and we were most impressed with the methodology he used, the layout he has designed and the wide range of plants he has chosen. Although we will amend a few of the plants he has selected, this is personal preference related to colour rather than disagreeing with his choice per se. Would not hesitate to recommend Ian to anyone.

I asked Ian to help me out with my front and side garden renovation project. From the first consultation, it was clear Ian knew what he was talking about. He has many years of experience and really came up with some great ideas and helped me get my ideas onto paper. I was particularly impressed with his vast knowledge of different plant species and his ability to tactically use plants to improve the look of the garden. I was originally skeptical about spending money on getting plans, but looking back now, it was so worth it because not only did Ian help plan and bring my ideas into a sketch, so it makes it easier for the landscape gardener to do the work, but he also came up with so many better and cheaper alternatives to what we originally wanted to do, which actually will save us so much money. I would definitely recommend Ian to anyone wanting to do a major renovation of the garden as he will give you so many ideas!

Ian is a modest, knowledgeable, and truly talented visionary designer. 2yrs ago he gave us a garden design that not only fulfilled all our needs but in practise works brilliantly. It is fabulous and continues to delight. We would highly recommend him and look forward to our next project with him.
