Alitura Landscape and Garden Design

We contacted Alitura to quote for the complete landscaping of our garden. We had some ideas of what we wanted to achieve, but really needed professional knowledge, experience and guidance to develop the project. Alitura did not disappoint, we found our designer, Bo, to be extremely helpful, as well as challenging our perception of what we really wanted, with the type of soil, climate and weather conditions we have in our south west, chalky, and very often windy garden overlooking the south downs. We didn't feel the need to go elsewhere for a comparative quote because Alitura gave us confidence in our collaboration. The design and build of the garden was complicated due to the nature of the land, and involved the need for engineering drawings, even though it is not a big space but the finished product is worth it. We love the planting as well as the hard landscaping. As we approach the end of the second year of our newly developed garden, we're reviewing what has worked well, and what need to be moved or replaced, or what else can be added. Even now, two years after the completion of the garden we're able to discuss ideas with Alitura and be given recommendations. We're beginning to feel more confident in our own abilities too, and are happy to experiment with complementary planting, especially after having visited local gardens open to the public. We started off with a budget in mind, and like most things, once we became enthused with the achieving a wonderful garden by the end of the first phase, we decided to extend the budge in order to achieve our ambition. Our deadline was to to have the garden ready for use from the Spring of 2015, which Alitura achieved. The garden that Alitura has helped us to achieve is one that we take pride in, and enjoy on a daily basis, even if in the depth of winter when all we can do is stare at it from the house, sheltering from the wind and the rain. The garden has changed the way we live and enjoy our own outside space. We look forward to seeing it develop as the years progress.

Bo's design far exceeded our expectations with her ability to think outside the box when it came to our brief. We now have a beautiful functional area which has maximised the space and that we will be able to enjoy for many years to come.
