Anna Helps Garden Design

Faced with a square, new build garden we had no idea where to start. Fortunately Anna lives close by and came to our rescue. Following a detailed survey and discussion over our requirements she produced a number of draught drawings for our consideration and from that we immediately jumped on the circular feature within the square. From that point on we had detailed drawings, construction specification and planting. Sam Goodridge Gardens was appointed as contractor and work commenced in the Autumn. Anna kept a close eye on progress and her vision came to life as the most wonderful small garden. We cannot recommend Anna highly enough and every day we enjoy her ideas. Anna provided me with a fabulous design for my tiny garden, turning it from an uninspiring space dominated by the shed into a wonderful courtyard garden, full of colour and interest. She provided a great hard landscaping plan to support the installation of a feature brick and flint boundary wall and two raised brick beds, plus paving and other hard landscaping finishes, together with a lovely planting plan. She sourced the plants for me, and would have done the planting too if I had asked her to. She sourced an excellent builder to carry out the hard landscaping, and stayed close to the project throughout the build period and afterwards. She listened carefully to my wishes, and then added to them in a way I could not have done without her input. Her knowledge of planting was inspirational, and her ideas about hard landscaping were both beautiful and practical. I would unhesitatingly recommend her.

Having seen a previous project of Anna's we decided to give her a call and see what she could do for us. Anna created the most outstanding outdoor space for us and was professional and helpful throughout. Anna is still coming back a year later to ensure that the planting etc is going well and to make sure that we are happy. We would highly recommend Anna to anyone.

Anna is a lovely garden designer with a great attention to detail. With her plans she easily communicates with her clients her vision for their garden. Anna is very good at keeping communications with the clients during planing and the build, which is essential for a successful project. Anna designed a front and rear coastal garden that we fulfilled as the landscaping contractor in 2017. Her design was very contemporary and elegant and her communication during the build was excellent. There are always issues that crop up on site and we were able to deal with any design/logistical adjustments very quickly, ensuring that we had no lull in our schedule which is important as a contractor. Anna is very thorough and has excellent technical knowledge of build specs and plants/planting. We look forward to working with Anna again.

We recently enlisted the services of Anna Helps Garden Design to totally reconfigure both our front and back gardens. Our property presented a difficult challenge as it is on the coast and very exposed to the weather. Anna was very consultative in her approach taking the time to understand our wishes for the garden while being conscious of our budget. The initial design stage was well handled with a number of visits to the property with various samples on materials in tow. Detailed drawings were produced and they were able to be tweaked and then produced in detailed elevations. The Hard Landscaping work was put out to tender to a number of specialists and we were introduced to our preferred contractor before having to commit to the project. We were very happy with the contractors and their working relationship with Anna was excellent and communication with all parties was seamless. With every project, execution necessitates some revisions and Anna was always on hand to come up with constructive alternatives whilst keeping a close eye on the costs. All in all we are very happy with the service provided and Anna continues to monitor the garden as we head towards the new growing season.

Moving in to a brand new house we had a blank canvas with which to work, and count ourselves most fortunate when we were recommended to Anna by a neighbour. It was clear from the outset that Anna works with a process, first asking us what our priorities are and how much time we would be willing to give to ongoing maintenance etc. the brief we gave her was for low maintenance, year round colour, koi pool and dog friendly. At every point Anna exceeded our expectations. She has also kept her word by performing regular garden check-ups to make sure we're on track. Highly recommended.
