“I had a fairly large border (approx 8m x 5m) which had been neglected for a few years. I wanted to create a low maintenance flower bed and liked the idea of a country garden look. Ben and Paul came round and assessed what was there in terms of position (light/shade), soil and the shrubs which were worth retaining. We also discussed budget. I then received a planting plan with a quotation and commissioned the work. The bed was cleared and planted mid June and I am delighted with the result. I now have a bed which will flower more or less from May to September and will require increasingly less maintenance as it matures. FGD are extremely knowledgeable and gave me advice on other areas of my garden (not areas which will result in work for them). I do have another two areas which do need a makeover and I will certainly commission them to undertake the project.”

“We hired the services of April House Garden in 2021 to design the landscape of our newly rebuilt cottage. Fast forward to the end of 2023 the garden looks incredibly beautiful which includes a diverse assortment of flowers, plants, and some trees. “When we met Steve we didn't really know where to start with our garden, having very little funds to work with upfront Steve encouraged us to focus our money into a final design that we could work towards. We were fortunate enough to have seen some of his work in person and were hooked on his creativity and eye for design. Biodiversity and ecology were really important to us having two small children and living in a busy city, we needed a space that will grow and evolve with us and this is something that Steve is extremely passionate about. As a designer, he listened and understood our needs, concerns and urge to use reclaimed materials where possible. He has introduced us to so many exciting ideas when the time finally comes to start planting. He's a pleasure to have on-site, professional and respectful.
