“Winter renovation gave spring garden. We contacted James late 2015 to discuss a redesign of a small difficult sloping garden in Edinburgh. James visited us several times to get our thoughts and in the process took meticulous measurements of the existing site. This resulted in a couple of options and after some discussion we agreed on a design. During this process James called on the assistance of Stuart for detailed planting advice and Guy for the landscaping/construction work. I believe that the contribution made by all 3 underpinned the success of the project. The real surprise was the start date of 4th January 2016. This was the key factor in delivering a transformed garden by the spring. The bulk of the work was completed in January, finished in February by Guy which allowed Stuart to plant in March and return again in May for the more tender plants. From an idea last October that we needed to do something with the garden, by getting the work done over the winter we have been able to enjoy a transformed outside area during the summer of 2016.”

Creative ideas and thinking with some clever bespoke ideas really made the difference between a great outdoor space and a tranquil urban oasis. Our garden is now envy of street with one of our neighbours now working with Studio MA! Personal service from start to finish taking care of every detail from creative ideas, advice on planting schemes to managing the whole process for us with zero stress. We were debating whether to use a design team but were so glad we did - the investment has not only added considerable value to our property but to our day to day living.”
