“Tina was fabulous from start to finish. We had a long thin London Garden with no shape - but a beautiful Beech Tree in the middle - and she turned it into a journey of discovery. By creating different Seating Areas, Curved Walls, curved Flower beds and advice on Planting, our garden has become a pleasure to sit in all year and all day long. I have some planting knowledge myself but lack the ability to visualise the whole garden. We had great fun going through different options, planning areas and keeping existing plants in some areas and moving others. Tina listened to my thoughts and ideas, worked what was practical into the project and when the work finally started I felt very confident that the finished Garden would be perfect. We also had to fit in a Table Tennis Table. The finished Project was better than expected, I took my time researching Brick colours and Patio slabs and chatting to Tina about how they would enhance the plants around them. And it really worked. The garden was completed in August 2023 and I couldn't be happier. Just enjoying the bulbs popping their heads up now. Thanks Tina.”

“Cheryl came highly recommended by a friend to help design part of our mature garden after a barn had been built to replace an old shed and some very old and diseased shrubs and trees had been removed. As a keen gardener I thought I knew what I wanted and was a bit surprised when Cheryl started by looking at our address on Google Earth but this demonstrates how she starts with the overall shape of the garden and an understanding of the surrounding landscape. Cheryl visited the garden twice. On the first we talked about how we use the garden, what we like, don’t like and how we want to maintain it. Cheryl left us with a sketch. On the second visit we refined the design on a scale drawing and discussed planting ideas. We’ve now had the plan created by a landscaper and are delighted with the result. The whole garden now makes sense – we have an interesting design that works so well but actually didn’t change much – changing a border shape, relocating an armillary sphere and creating a path through some existing trees where all unexpected things that make the garden so cohesive. Could not have achieved this without the help of a professional garden designer and Cheryl was a pleasure to work with, extremely knowledgeable, creative and generously still on hand for ongoing planting advice.”

“Chris and Team were presented with a challenging 3 tier, very steep site with difficult access. Working from the bottom up, their work has shored up our garden, making it safe and an enjoyable place to spend time. Impossible to quote for such a project with many complications, Chris and the team communicated at every turn, with great ideas and a good eye for practical design. With our budget in mind, recycling materials was a very important factor for us.”

“We requested a design package of landscaping and a planting scheme for our front garden area. The plans submitted to us would give the area a completely different outlook and feel yet also complimentary to the area in which we live. The landscaping work is yet to be carried out but having had our rear garden landscaped and planted by Howle Hill Nursery seven years ago, we are confident that the proposed works will be equally as good. The whole Team from Howle Hill have been extremely professional and competent. They also provided a maintenance schedule and were always willing to answer any follow up questions.”

The quality of her work, her attention to detail, her research to find and suggest appropriate plants for the brief we gave her and then to source quality plants, her continued care and attention with cloud-pruning and spraying - we feel we are very fortunate to have found her and have been so confident in her ability that we have called her back on further occasions to work on other parts of our garden. “Our front entrance steps were in very poor condition, and water was leaking into the basement room below. Fork Garden Design stripped and rebuilt our front entrance stair and forecourt. The work included rebuilding the stair walls as the existing structure was crumbling away; re-rendering the external walls with a layer of fibre-mesh underlay to reinforce the structure; and paving the steps and forecourt with high quality sandstone slabs. During the construction, Fork Design also coordinated with the waterproofing specialist to sequence the work. Philip and his team were very professional, diligent and thoughtful. Their work reflected a very high level of design, workmanship and quality. Philip has both very good design skill and is meticulous with implementation details. We could not be happier with the result, which has transformed the space. As a client who is also an architect by profession and with over 20-year of experience, I am extremely impressed with Philip and his team. I would not hesitate to recommend them.”

“When I moved to this house the garden was steeply sloping and totally neglected. I contacted Unique Landscapes and Shaun submitted an imaginative design which makes the most of its southerly aspect and far reaching views. It is easy to maintain. I love the garden - it fulfils all my requests and is like an extension to the house. The work was completed on time, cleanly and with good humour. Since then Shaun has redesigned my small front garden. It is an equal success I would have no hesitation in recommending Unique Landscapes to anyone.”

“Rachel of Elemental Designs provided the landscape designs for our garden. We selected Rachel as our landscape designer following a quality assessment of a number of practices. Working closely with us she developed the brief and design to meet our requirements by adopting a structured iterative process using examples and sketches to show us how she proposed to meet our brief and produce a design that exceeded our expectations. The scope of work included, a formal lawn, flower beds, drainage, lighting, fenced vegetable patch and orchard. She produced the tender documents, obtained quotes, and managed the contractor on site. She directly procured and installed the planting. The service was excellent value for money. The garden is now reaching maturity and it continues to delight us as we see new shapes as the plants develop.”
