“I met David Katz when I was interviewing landscape architects for a pool and spa I wanted to build on a property I'd recently acquired in the Hudson Valley. I'm a business person myself and very careful when choosing who I work with. Accordingly, I interviewed 5 different architects before choosing to go with Elite. Everyone I met with was talented, but David Katz was on a different level. Whereas others would walk the property and talk about what they thought, after I'd walked the property with David and we had talked, he started drawing. Within 15 minutes, I had a full rendition of what was clearly right for the property. If there were one theme to my relationship with Elite, it would be this--execution. The other architects talked vaguely of being able to get the pool done in 15 months or so. I told David I wanted to be swimming in thee months. He said I was crazy. Moreover, while I was forced to manage my house contractors daily, I didn't have to even think about Elite. They transformed our property in exactly the right way, and I didn't have to manage a thing. That has rarely happened to me before, and it was fantastic. Shortly after the completion of the pool and spa, I engaged Elite on another large scale project on the property. Just like the pool and spa, it was also done perfectly and perfectly on time and on budget. Elite (and in particularly, Mitch, David's son) continues to service our property and I suspect we'll build something great again in the future. I can't recommend the Elite team highly enough. If you want to do something great, they are your team.”

“We have worked with Aran and his team for several years to completely transform our landscape. Beginning with a very difficult and technical remodeling of our front entrance masonry and driveway that required extensive approvals from town boards and the historical commission. The new approach to the house created a beautiful and elegant approach to the house and was further enhanced with abundant plantings and lighting. We also worked with LandForm partners to remodel, or rather completely rebuild our second story deck, which came out beautifully. We also hired the firm to create a masterplan and richly planted landscape for our vacation home. This is an extremely professional organization and I would use them again. Estimates are done by the owner and his drawings will explain exactly what to anticipate. The laborers are on time, reliable and take a lot of pride in their work. The owner is available and will return calls if need be. I cannot see how things could have gone better for both of these large projects for my home.”

“I had an excellent experience with Outdoor Design! Chris and his team are very dedicated, hard-working, and full of ideas on how to make the most of your backyard. I had gotten a free estimate from Chris when my irrigation company recommended him. I called him to talk about grading my yard before sprinklers were installed, but somehow, 2 months later, we had our backyard oasis completely finished, and had gained an outdoor living room, dining room and kitchen for a fraction of what an actual building addition would have been. Plus, mature trees for added privacy and landscaping Martha Stewart would be envious of! Chris and Dave took my ideas and budget and made what I had envisioned happen. Chris prices out the estimate a la carte; which means that you don't have to do everything right then; I could start the project and add the fireplace later, or the stonewall seating next year... I was able to shave some of the cost by reusing my hydrangeas and buying some of my own shrubs. Mario and the masonry team are some of the hardest working men I've ever met. They would set up tents in the rain just to keep working! The end result is stunning; Two friends have already hired Chris in the last 6 months to build their own dream backyards. What sets Outdoor Design apart from the competition is that they stand by their work. Chris is a lifelong resident of Fairfield (as am I) and knows that reputation is everything. As he says, he wants his customers to be "ecstatic"! He was an absolute pleasure to work with, as was his entire team.
