“Matt and Kat make a great duo; Kat's designs are innovative yet practical, she took into consideration the fact that we both work, making the garden low maintenance (although it doesn't look it), we have teenagers so they have somewhere to hang out, plus a little one on the way so she incorporated plenty of space for us add a tipi (another of Kat's brilliant and unique ideas). Matt's workforce were reliable and efficient, with the ability to foresee issues and address them rather than cause delays. They were polite, cleaning up after themselves each day and generally doing a smashing job. We are over the moon with our new garden, all our visitors have commented on the amazing job and we can't wait to see what it looks like during the different seasons. Both myself and my partner would wholeheartedly recommend Earth Designs.”

There is not much Bramley Apple doesn't know about garden design, demonstrating a willingness and skill to research an effective solution to problems such as poor soil, challenging landscapes or difficult areas within the garden. “Aralia designed and built our small garden, transforming the ragged mish-mash of unplanned year-on-year additions into a more modern space with two water features and plenty of room to sit at various points to admire the planting and the design. Height is achieved through pleached hornbeams, black bamboo (which grows up rather than out) and a crab apple. The illusion of greater space in what is a small garden is provided by the rill and pond and pathways. Distinct planted areas now lead the eye to the flowers and plants. All completed with the minimum fuss and in good time.”

“We reached out to Lis Eriksson to completely redesign and re-landscape our 3.6 acre garden in West Sussex. Looking for somebody that could translate our vision for the grounds and the unique property that it houses. The existing garden felt very alien to the house in an English cottage garden style whilst our house is a mid century modern remodel. We gave her a large complex brief including building a terrace (300sqm in the end) including a space for dining and cooking, a sundeck, large seating area with a fire pit, a wood fired hot tub, herb garden and additional gardens connecting the adjoining annex space of the house. Alongside 2 x 100sqm plus borders, planting 60 specimen trees an extended meadow and a nuttery. Not only did Lis produce beautiful visuals alongside her master and planting plans, but also helped us source materials, furniture etc. during covid. Managing numerous supply issues, still able to get each phase of the project completed with her flexible approach, attention to detail and in-depth design and architecture know how. All whilst providing a professional service and clear communication throughout. We are just about to embark on adding a pool to the garden which we now very much enjoy and look forward to working with Lis again.”

I was very privileged to be able to photograph Tracey's award winning (RHS-Silver Gilt) 'Greener Pastures' show garden at BBC Gardeners World Live at the NEC last year. The award was very well deserved as the brief was fulfilled to the letter. Tracey is versatile in that she can design for any size of plot and excels at designing for the smaller garden.”

“Victoria paid close attention to the ideas that we had for our completely blank canvas, new build garden. We only had ideas, but we lack the vision to pull those ideas together, and that's where Victoria really helped us. She created a few options and we found it so hard to choose a favourite, ending up pulling a few bits from each together to create a vision. Our garden plan is full and thorough and includes a fully comprehensive list of plants to include and where to place them. Our design has now been sent to some landscapers for quoting and we have recieved compliments from these professionals for the clarity of the design and spec. We are so excited to progress our design from Plans For Plants, and have a garden to relax in and enjoy.”

“Abel Landscaping and Darren have made a First Class job of my Driveway, Patio and Artificial Grass to a very high standard. This was all done while I was away on holiday, I was kept informed of all progress on a daily basis with pictures sent to my Mobile phone. That's what I call going the extra mile. I had some additional work done and was kept fully informed of any additional costs as when this happened. Thomas who installed my Driveway, Patio and Grass is one of the best Ground workers I have come across, with so much knowledge and great recommendations.”
