“Dan Steigerwald of Designscapes and his team provided us with a complete design and installation of our back yard garden that included a new pool, limestone patio with several levels and a bbq island, complete landscaping, and lighting. We could not be more enthused and excited as we look out at our paradise. The professionalism that Dan, his quality control man, Jerry, and their crew exhibit is not matched anywhere. They are completely committed to ensuring the project stays on time (where weather permit), on budget, and that the client is happy. In addition, Dan is very easy to work with and accepting of changes, taking them in stride to make sure things are done right and everyone is happy. We truly have a magazine spread quality result....don't be surprised if it is photographed for a magazine!!!”

“Lear Mahoney planned and executed a $2 million landscape for 7 acres on the waterfront in North Haven on Long Island. This included extensive hardscape (terracing, walls, swimming pool, lighting) as well as trees, bushes and other plant materials. The work done was outstanding. They took time to understand what we wanted and then brought creativity and a wonderful sense of the site to the design. The terracing they put in was quite brilliant in tying the house to the site. They integrated a very natural perspective with a subtle degree of structure. They are professional in everything they do. They worked extremely well with the architect and project manager and work was executing quickly and thoroughly. I would recommend them to anyone.”

“Gary's insight into how to make the most of your property amazes me. He made a few immediate observations about what we/guests see or don't see upon approaching our home, and guided us through a process on how to dramatically improve it. With no direct access to our street from our front door, Gary redesigned our front lawn, carving a serpentine path of unique pavers, and added stone steps to our newly covered front porch and walkway to the curb. He ripped out all of the 40 year old overgrown shrubs from the front lawn and driveway, and replaced them with young and healthy plantings sprinked with lots of colorful trees and flowers. Further, with any visitors formerly only seeing our home from the bottom end of our driveway and the original only point of access, Gary ripped out the deteriorated drive and replaced it with a continuation of the serpentine flow of pavers that now frame the drive and connect to both the new front walkway and a path to our back lawn and pool. We could not recommend anyone or any company more highly!”
