I'm an Garden Designer, Architect and Horticulturalist with over 20 years experience in designing private gardens of all sizes.
My passion from early childhood for gardening has come full circle, taking in on its way an architectural degree, running a 7 strong architectural/interior design practice, a year in South East Asia, and several Royal Horticultural Society qualifications.
I have been designing private gardens in Cheshire, Yorkshire and the North West for over 19 years.
My strength lies in the rare position of having both an architectural and horticultural training, helping me design with ease both the structure and planting.

I found Caroline on Houzz. I was delighted to meet her, she listened to our thoughts, she incorporated her thoughts. She came up with a fabulous plan. We are still working on the master plan, so far so good. In fact it’s brilliant. I can’t recommend her services strongly enough. She is talented and accomplished.

We are delighted by the two gardens that Caroline has designed for us. She listened and incorporated the specific brief that we gave her for an easy maintenance garden for our cottage in the south of England and one for our garden in the Pennines. With her knowledge and expertise she was able to expand our ideas and create a beautiful garden in both locations. Caroline is passionate about her work and an enormous pleasure to work with.

Caroline was our chosen Landscape Designer for this project.
We have worked with Caroline on a number of projects and we are always confident that she will understand our brief, interpret our requirements and produce an excellent scheme.
On this occasion Caroline found the contractors, negotiated and controlled the costs, then oversaw the work to make sure that everything went to plan.
The outcome was first rate and our Client was delighted to see how the garden just improved with every changing season.

“I don’t like gardening, but I love a beautiful space. When it came to sorting my garden 8 years ago, Caroline was strongly recommended by someone who knew her work. Caroline talked with me about my likes and wishes. With the eye of a trained architect, which she is, and an impeccable emotional intelligence, she produced a wonderful design for my garden. Her knowledge of plants is both extensive and practical, (she gained top marks in her horticultural degree). Caroline personally chose old stones for steps, and walls and patio, from salvage yards. My trips to those yards with her have a special place in my heart. We had such a laugh.
The workforce Caroline employed, and oversaw, did a fantastic job on the hard landscaping and planting. She took full responsibility for all the little decisions. All this talent and hard work, on her part, has produced a garden that is a delight to me. People travel to see this beautiful maturing garden. On my recommendation, friends have employed Caroline to transform their garden space with equally perfect results. Anyone can call themselves a garden architect, but Caroline really encapsulates all one would want in this area.”
