About Us

Dave Green Gardens is a gold medal winning Garden and Landscape Design practise specialising in planting focused garden design, creating gardens based around incredible plant schemes and plant combinations. After working in some of the countries best public gardens Dave is able to use his unique and extensive planting knowledge to create plant focused designs that highlight form, texture and colour. In addition to working in the UK Dave has also been involved in gardening in South Africa, Japan and Australia. He has won several awards including a Gold Medal, Best in Category and Best Construction from the RHS Hampton Flower Show. In addition Dave was also recently awarded with a Landscape Planning and Analysis prize for a project in the Midlands sponsored by Pegasus Group.

Dave and his team completed a new patio for us in May 2021. Dave was professional from the beginning and worked with us through the design process so we could get exactly what we wanted. He explained every part of the process in great detail during our consultation and was always on hand to answer any questions we had. The weather was awful during the time they worked in our garden but they were all very professional and tidied up the area and washed down daily leaving the area as safe and tidy as possible. Dave shows excellent attention to detail and nothing was too much trouble for him and his team. I would definitely recommend Dave Green Gardens

So pleased with Dave's design and build for our garden. The choice of plants met the brief exactly, matching plants to the conditions we had rather than having to change everything. Proportions were perfect, space for us and the plants and the result was naturalistic planting that looked as though it had been there forever. Deadlines were met, within budget and whatever problems appeared Dave and his team calmly got on with finding a solution. If I ever need another garden, Dave will be designing it.

Having found Dave Green via the Houzz website early in 2020 we initiated contact and had our first meeting at our home in Tamworth, Staffordshire on the 27th March 2020. We were looking for our "DREAM " garden, something we had always aspired to have and Dave has certainly given us just that. The project was for the rear and both sides of our detached home, which measured a total of 401 sq. metres, and though part tidy and well stocked the garden was always needing a "Magic" touch of inspiration. The first contact, as I have already said, was in March 2020, just as the Coronavirus lockdown had begun, and carried on via several visits and phone calls, plus a Zoom meeting, until January 2021 and we were happy with the design and the cost was agreed. Work began on the 18th January 2021 and carried on through some very bad weather, rain and snow, without stopping until April 30th. Dave and his team worked tirelessly, professionally and skilfully throughout never complaining and sticking, religiously, to the brief and always exacting with the finish and details of all aspects of the project. We would thoroughly recommend " DAVE GREEN GARDENS" and his team to anyone in need of a "DREAM" of their own.

Dave Green has done a wonderful job with our garden project. He has transformed our very plain and boring garden into something amazing. We loved the way that Dave took the time and effort to really understand what we wanted even when we actually didn’t know. He took our ideas, likes, dislikes and designed a beautiful garden with meaning and a story that fits into our surroundings. After the design because of Dave’s meticulous attention to detail we wanted him to deliver the project too. Him and his team worked solidly for 4-5 weeks to finish on time. He helped us choose the right plants for the spaces and he built oak features which we just love. Patios were designed and laid by him too. I’ve never met such a creative person with such attention to detail. Oh and he’s a lovely, happy, polite guy too. It was a wonderful experience having our garden designed and landscaped and I can’t wait to watch it change as the beautiful plants grow. I highly, highly recommend Dave Green.

Dave Green Gardens did an excellent job developing a new layout for my garden. Dave listened to everything that was needed and then worked with us to come up with a design that was creative and also included everything we needed. His excellent plant knowledge bought the space to life with plants that have thrived ever since they were installed this year. Overall the work was also completed to a very high standard with excellent attention to detail and Dave was a pleasure to work with, would definitely recommend to others.
