Emerging Landscape Design

I was recommended to Anthony back in August via friends. Although we live quite a long way from him, he decided that this wasnt an impediment to his work and we wanted to work with him anyway. Over the last 2 months he has been helping us along with our architect and builders as we finish off the main kitchen extension - basically ensuring we have all the project professionals and their designs agreed in terms of what happens immediately outside the extension - services/pertinent design features etc. Anthony then went onto complete his concept design package which we love - basically he captured everything we were after and then added several creative design details that will make the space feel special and unique to us. We shall be working with him again in the new year as the tendering process for landscape contractors begins.

I had heard through friends about Emerging Landscape Design so I had Anthony in to give me a landscape design for my garden which has just been finalised. I was very impressed with his professionalism and attention to the detail of the brief I gave him and will be using Anthony to sub-contract the landscape works when they begin in due course. I cannot recommend him more highly to anyone needing such services.

Anthony has just started to help us design and redo our back garden, and although we're very early into the project, the drawings are looking great! We feel that Anthony has really listened to and understood us. He is professional, honest, enthusiastic and knowledgeable and we're really looking forward to taking our project forward with him!

Working with Emerging Landscape from design drawings all the way through to the finished garden space was a pleasant and enjoyable experience. We had Anthony over to help us with an initial consultation ahead of our building extension works. We wanted his advice regarding infrastructure planning for the garden spaces immediate to our extension - this meant we could not only plan our budgets for the landscaping works in advance but we could also discuss efficiency gains to be had with Anthony by using trades, access and materials from the building works to facilitate some of the landscaping at the same time. We were also able to use much of Anthony’s knowledge allowing our architects and builders to adjust their plans for drainage, irrigation, lighting, power and hardscaping. Needless to say, we will be using Anthony to design our garden once we can point a new budget to it; he communicates well, is trustworthy, knowledgable and consistently over delivers.

I contacted Anthony in April this year to undertake a rooftop garden design for our terrace property in Brighton/Hove. He was very professional through-out our dealings especially in capturing our ideas and translating them into a design we love. Having worked through the budget with Anthony, he is now helping us with tendering before we choose a contractor to undertake the works in 2020. We would not hesitate to recommend Anthony, especially for people who are looking for more than simply a designer or design service - he has been invaluable regarding budgeting, material specification and contracting

We wanted some initial advice regarding the garden design process and consultation costs. We heard about Emerging Landscape Design through friends of ours who had a garden project completed by Anthony previously. He was honest, refreshingly interested and enthusiastic and above all professionally competent across his oral and written advice. We especially were grateful for his weekend and after hours visits and his punctual time-keeping. I met Anthony via a local networking group and was inspired by his passion for gardens. Anthony was so easy to speak to and I was able to discuss my ideas and Anthony quickly understood my needs asking useful questions and giving me things to think about that will make my outdoor space really work for me. The design he came up with was AMAZING! Even better than anything I could have thought of giving me usable space that will really work for me. I am so pleased. After 20+ years of living in the same house which had undergone numerous changes over the years, the garden was due a ‘makeover’ it had served us well as a family garden but our needs had changed (along with the ability to manage it) therefore time to look for an ‘expert’… Anthony Arnold of Emerging Landscapes stood out from others with the time he took to listen and understand our needs, wishes and not least, budget constraints. His approach is collaborative, very important as we wished to retain a few existing features which he needed to incorporate in the design. He explained and involved us in the design process along the way, from detailed site survey (we have a terraced garden, so not an easy task) concept drawing to final plan. He is innovative and creative and his desire to create a beautiful space that answers our needs and we can enjoy for many more years with minimum maintenance was very apparent. Our enthusiasm for the garden has been re-ignited.
