Landscape Architects and Garden Designers in Harpenden, Hertfordshire

“Aoba did a fantastic job on my recent extensive back and front garden build. Throughout the crew were impressive - hard working, tidy and self contained, but also technically very able, delivering a beautifully crafted build. The project was also managed very competently, with no supply issues, in fact it was completed ahead of schedule. Thanks to everyone on the team!”

“HR Landscape team did wonderful work at our house. They weeded, trimmed, mulched, pruned trees, designed and extended an area of landscaping for us in our backyard. The communication process was stellar and our exceptions were exceeded. We are excited for spring to see the results of their hard work.”

“A Truly Outstanding Landscape Designer – 100% Recommended I feel incredibly lucky to have found Peter Reader through an online search when looking to redesign our family garden in North London. What initially caught my eye was that Peter was previously an NHS GP—like me! What’s most striking is that he transitioned from a career in medicine to follow his true lifelong passion—horticulture—and it clearly shows in the dedication and creativity he brings to his work. I thought this background must reflect intelligence, professionalism, integrity and sound judgement, and I was absolutely right. Peter is an outstanding landscape designer and a thoroughly decent, personable, and trustworthy individual. From our very first meeting, it was clear he deeply understands all aspects of garden design—from hardscaping to the careful selection of plants that suit both the space and the brief. He listened to our ideas with real care, incorporated all our wishes, and was always happy to tweak elements until the design felt just right. His patience, attention to detail, and commitment to quality were exactly what we needed. As a perfectionist, I was particularly impressed by the precision and thought he brought to every stage of the project. Peter not only created a beautiful design but also worked closely with the landscape contractors to ensure the plan was executed to the highest standard. Nothing was too much trouble, and he brought a calm, reassuring presence throughout the process. The result is a garden even more beautiful than we could have imagined. It's a space that brings us daily joy, and we couldn’t be more delighted with the outcome. Our teenage children now prefer being outdoors with their friends rather than indoors! Peter Reader is a rare find. The NHS’s loss is truly a huge gain for the world of landscape design. Our family recommend him 100%—he will help you create the garden of your dreams!”
