Jilly Cook Garden Design

Jilly is an excellent garden designer. She took my concrete depressing courtyard to a little piece of heaven that I love spending time in! I could not be happier!

Jilly was professional throughout the garden design and construction process. Her ideas and plans were clear. She worked hard to achieve what we wanted.

Jilly has been working with me for nearly the past year an a half - ever since moving into a 'new' property with a non existent garden but quite a challenging space to fill. She has listened carefully to my ideas throughout and has also managed to skillfully steer and guide when everything just seemed overwhelming for me - which it did at points along the way. Her initial designs were works of art, hand crafted water paintings of a variety of ideas to consider - absolutely brilliant for someone non-technical like me who finds a 'flat' architectural' style plan difficult to translate. The subsequent construction plans were detailed and professional and the landscaping team were very complimentary; they related totally to the requirements and the hardscaping results, completed last September, are just perfect. Jilly has since produced a planting scheme - in 2 phases as per my request. The first phase has just been completed - the 'framework' planting for shrubs, climbers and trees and the subsequent perennial and annual planting will follow - and I have a detailed plan for this as well. Jilly has been such a pleasure to work with - right from the first response to my contact (through Houzz!). She made me feel that this project really mattered to her throughout and I now almost feel that I have to plant with care - because I want her to approve! It's so very difficult to choose the right person for such a huge project and I count myself very lucky to have had Jilly to work with.

Jill designed the front aspect and southern courtyard for our new self build house. Jill has a gift to visualise space, even when it looks like a bog! The designs were practical, contemporary, with clever and quirky features. Jill made good suggestions and offered alternatives that stayed true to the spirit of the designs, whilst delivering to the budget. This is the third time Jill has done garden design work for us and we highly recommend her!

Jilly provided us with a series of fantastic designs for different areas of our garden. Our garden is quite complex, with many different levels and we really needed some inspiration as to how to landscape the garden to suit our needs. Jilly came up with some brilliant designs that took into account our requirements, but was also in keeping with our house. Jilly is very thorough and conscientious, and cares very much that her projects are implemented well and to the satisfaction of her customers. We are delighted with the end result.

We asked Jilly Cook to create designs for our main garden, kitchen garden and the area at the front of the house. She really listened to our brief and took on board everything that we were looking for from our outdoor space. Jilly came up with beautiful, creative designs that totally captured our requirements.
